RHEMA 12/21/07  SATISFACTION NOT WHEN, BUT HOW

HEARD:  I will help you, satisfy all the longings of your soul.  It’s not a matter of when.  It’s a matter of how.

WORD TO PONDER:  LOOKING UNTO ME TO UNDERSTAND AND SATISFY YOUR NEEDS  12/21/07

Precious ones, if you draw near to those you love and look with misaligned expectations that the longings of your soul will be satisfied, you will face disappointment.  It is not because they are not good gifts, for loved ones ARE My good gifts.  But the disappointments occur because you have your expectations and dependencies in the wrong place.  I AM your Provider, your Sustainer, and the One Who intimately understands all the longings of your soul deeper than any person can.  And when you are given moments and times of satisfaction, always remember it comes from My influence upon the hearts of those you love. 

Give heed how you satisfy your own longings.  Do not look to the world, to the pleasures of sin, or in the lusts of the flesh.  When you line yourself up with the details of My Word, you will find your soul satisfied with all the goodness of My peace, joy and love.  You can not find that deeply settled and satisfied place without living in My Spirit.  Any other life will be unrest to one’s soul that will be forever searching to find its home.

Ps 107:7-15 NKJV

And He led them forth by the right way, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place. 8 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For He satisfies the longing soul ,And fills the hungry soul with goodness.   10 Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Bound in affliction and irons —  11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, And despised the counsel of the Most High, 12 Therefore He brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help. 13 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces. 15 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!

Jer 31:14 NKJV

Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, And they shall sorrow no more at all. 13 "Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.  14 I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the LORD."

Gal 5:22-25 NKJV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
