3/14/20  SIMPLE CONTENTMENT

I spent yesterday working on my memorial journal. They are rhema snipits of memorials I want to keep close. I am decorating each memorial with color. I found great contentment spending my day pondering the Words of the Lord and being creative with them. 

HEARD:  Bringing out a change in you. To slow down and enjoy your day.   Godliness with contentment is great gain.

1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content.

Godliness

= GREAT GAIN

Do more

Get more

= GREAT STRESS

CONTENT:

LEARNING CONTENTMENT 6/27/03

Contentment is a tranquility within your heart where you not only appreciate your portion, but also thoroughly utilize it.  When you have your focus upon someone else’s portion, or when you are longing for your promised portion yet to come, it keeps you from thoroughly enjoying what you do have.  This is like the horse that eats the grass on the other side of the fence.  It seems greener and sweeter, yet to continually reach through the fence causes dissatisfied longings.

Turn around and look at what I have given you.  I have supplied a whole field of green pasture for your needs.  When you have enjoyed and utilized what I have given you, I will give you more.

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."  (Heb 13:5-6 NKJV)

1/15/12  BE CONTENT, MOVE WITH REST

I have been in a season of rest for a few months.  Sometimes we press in for so long that we just need to rest.  Last night I downloaded some new word games to play on iTouch.  By the time to pray together, my eyes were tired and weary.  While Wayne was praying I had my eyes closed and saw and heard the following.

I saw __ __ __ ED.   TIRED.  Just rest sweet one. I saw the word, content.

We’ve been sent to help you. I saw an angel go to a shelf and bring a package to me.  She gave me a lovely smile.

DOG PARABLE:  I have been watching an educational show called the Dog Whisperer.  One night there was a pit bull that was literally dragging the person out the gate in order to go on the walk.  There was no way the dog would listen to become rehabilitated from his behavior problems because he had so much energy.  So Cesar recommended taking him for walks with roller blades.  He demonstrated the dog pulling Cesar along behind him.  The dog became tired after 3 trips, so Cesar took off his blades and THEN walked the dog.  The dog suddenly didnt care at all about all the things he used to cause him to misbehave.  He was willing and attentive to follow Cesar’s commands, simply because he had worn himself out.

QUICKENED THOUGHT:  Cease striving and know that I am God.

Ps 46:10 AMP: Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God.

7/10/16  A NEW CONTENTMENT LEVEL

Remarkable.  I saw a salute and heard, at ease brethren.  Then I saw legs spreading apart for a steady but resting stand.  I will set you.  Easy does it.  You have been driven for too long. 

Transition.  It’s not something to be afraid of.  I am changing you. Altering your contentment level.  Into a new place of peace.

WORD TO PONDER: BALANCE – NO LONGER DRIVEN  7/10/16

Dear one, I heard your cries and feelings as your pace slowed and you sensed your productivity waned.  No, I AM not done with you!  Yes I have had you in a resting place for a season and yes now I AM moving you once again.  I rested you because in your driven state of productivity you would have suffered burn out should I have allowed you to continue there. 

Now that I AM moving you, I AM giving you a new contentment level in living a much better balanced life. You have been in a body, soul and spirit check point where I AM spotlighting the areas that need recovery and health.  I AM teaching you to care for all of you, just as I care for all of you.  I AM so pleased to see you follow Me and be obedient to what I AM asking.  Maturity is recognizing that I created you with body, soul and spirit and I want you preserved blameless until I come.  You will find great peace in living this way and I will pour into you a sense of great satisfaction.

1Ti 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

1Th 5:23-24 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it.

7/11/16 AMAZING CONFIRMATION- AT EASE SOLDIER!

This wonderful Marine has become a local hero.  Marine Corps Veteran Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers stands at attention for more than 3 hours during the Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom in Washington, DC.  Despite having an untreated broken wrist and the heat, he gave honor to his fallen brothers in arms.  The crowds watched him with great respect as he unwaveringly stood at his post this way.  Along the sidelines was his grandmother who refused to sit down until her grandson’s watch was through.  It brought tears to my eyes to hear that.

His photo and deed is recorded in heaven and earth.  It has reminded me that so many heroes stand in the ranks of life giving honor to whom honor is due… they have stood for hours, days, months, years at their post doing their best to plant integrity into the world with good deeds and works.  Despite all odds, wounds and circumstances against them, they have continued to continue.  God bless our heroes! 

7/25/16 NO LONGER DRIVEN – IN A NEW PLACE

I saw a Viking with his hands on the horns of an oxen.  The oxen were plowing hard ground.  I just am trying to finish working.  You don’t do that anymore.  You were driven sweetheart.  You know this.  It was a long run.  You rested. The power of your faith to never give up.  You are living in a new day sweet one. Your past is forever behind you. It’s gone.
