Today I walked through a parable. I just went through a
couple days of software stress, mostly trying to make a new
plan “work” and work around many issues that I had not been
satisfied with.
After days of dead ends where each issue I faced was not
resolved, today I was so frustrated trying to get the plan
to work, I got up and decided to scrapbook just to get my
mind off of it. After finding perfectly matched papers that
were a great blend, I decided to embellish it, wanting more
paper. I tried and tried and became just as frustrated as I
was with the software! It was then that I said to myself,
“Sometimes simple is the right choice. And sometimes
we don’t have the grace to search anymore for the right fix
- when really what we have - is enough.”
That was really quickened to me as from the Lord so I got up
to call the company and ask for a refund on the 7 day test
period. Just as I picked up the phone, the answer to the
software problem popped into my mind and I excitedly put the
phone down and tried it.
Sure enough it worked and I got the breakthrough I had
prayed for and worked 2 days for, which was to see a visual
of the plan and see if it would work. As I am looking at
the plan I realized in real life it was WAY too complex.
The end product would have been really nice looking
(something I have wanted for years) but the public would
have to do a pile of clicks to get through the doors to
actually see the goal.
The whole concept about having the grace to be simple was
really quickened to me today as I pondered what makes the
punchline in words of wisdom so profound… They are profound
because they are SIMPLE. God’s ways seem to cut through
all the forest to see the ONE TREE that really matters.
AMAZING CONFIRMATION: Later today I ran an errand.
I turned on the car and mp3 player and it was set to shuffle
and out of hundreds of songs this one came on first. I
wondered what it was because I hadn’t heard that album in
years. I had a quickened eye glance at the title of the
song that was playing!
It was an instrumental called
Simple Gifts
from the album called
Simply Serene!
PRAYER: Lord please, please give us open eyes and
ears to receive ALL that You have to say to us in applying
this to our lives and decisions, in Jesus Name!
Romans 12:8 Or he that exhorts, on exhortation:

that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 16:19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all
[men]. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would
have you wise unto that which is good, and

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and
breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with
gladness and simplicity of
heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the
people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who
were being saved.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his cunning, so your minds
should be corrupted from
the simplicity that is in Christ.
