INTERPRETATION: People with inappropriate soul
ties and also people who are unequally yoked with
unbelievers have irritants that are embedded into their
souls. They wrestle within themselves to find freedom
from what or whom they are tied to that steals their
freedom. This can become a wrestling match where one
learns to literally heave off the thoughts and emotions
that are tormenting them about someone or something they
are tied to. Much of this wrestling is actually
wrestling with someone else’s demons, because the soul
tie is a link to one’s own soul and heart.
Num 33:55-56 NKJV
But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the
land from before you, then it shall be that those whom
you let remain shall be irritants in your eyes and
thorns in your sides, and they shall harass you in the
land where you dwell.
