RHEMA 11/20/07 STRENGTH TRAINING
HEARD: Are we standing? Are we standing outside
waiting? When I come, will I find faith? Feelings, they
come and go. My Word doesn’t, it abides forever. That’s
a long time.
Bilateral thinking. Needing help. Stability. You belong
to Me says the Lord, I will help you. The difficult road
is beneath you little one. You are much higher than its
mere journey. Stay together until the pieces are loaded.
Hope and protection.
HEARD: I heard a door bell ring.
HEARD: In synch. Alignment. Pick up. Onto
Daddy’s page.
STRENGTH TRAINING: For several months now I have
been hearing the Lord say, “strength training” and I
have waited upon Him to help me understand.
PARABLE: We have been enjoying our new grandson
and I have been praying the Lord will use him to speak
His Word to me. Today our daughter in law said that the
last couple days he has learned to climb and pull
himself up to tables, chairs, couch etc. This really
tickled me because the last 2 times we babysat him, my
wrist and hand were flaring to the point that I could
not pick him up a normal way. So in order to pick him
up, I needed him to get closer to me in my chair, and
then I could pick him up normal with my left hand, but
put my braced right arm out straight and use it as kind
of a lift fork maneuver. He would come up to my chair
and whimper for me to pick him up and I would pat my leg
and tell him to come closer. He started grabbing onto my
leg and pulling himself closer and working his way
slowly up onto it. He could not pull himself up all the
way to a stand, but his tummy was totally off the floor.
Each time he was getting stronger and more determined.
After he would reach so far, I could lean over and pick
him up and together we enjoyed our hugs and kisses.
(Happy Grammy!)
I saw this as a living parable of how the Lord meets us.
When we are weak and fumble around in our faith, wanting
Him to pick us up and minister to us, our prayers are
not the greatest, and our lives are not perfectly
coordinated and in synch with where He wants us. And yet
He “draws” us “coaxes us” and “encourages” us to seek
Him. Scriptures are packed with seeking Him and finding
Him. It is a vital part of “finding” Him.... although...
smile, He is not lost...
Each time He responds to our needs as we turn towards
Him, and He calls us to come closer! So we inch a little
closer and then He calls us again. Finally we make a
connection where He has reached down and met us more
than half way... we meet Him in face to face intimacy
and have our hugs and kisses time while He has helped us
build our spiritual muscles of leaning into Him and upon
Him. It is the perfect picture of my life in the Lord.
Sometimes I am so physically sick or weak I hardly have
breath for prayer. I simply think my prayers and cry out
for help. Other times I am so discouraged it feels like
the weight of the world is oppressing in upon me, and
all I can do is whimper and make an effort to pray
something very pathetic. Some times the spirit of
intercession comes upon me and the spirit of might fills
me with faith and power and authority and I know all
heaven is dispatched to the need. And you know what?
There is not one bit of difference to God.
He doesnt say in His Word, “Dear child, only if you
stand up, then I will respond powerfully for you.”
Instead He says, “Dear child, SEEK ME and you shall find
Me.“ Everyone of us have spiritual muscles, and they are
tested in every place possible to help them grow.
Beloved, do not become discouraged in your strength
training. In His infinite mercy, He will bend down from
heaven and pick you up as you extend your effort towards
Him.
Deut 4:29-30 NKJV
But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you
will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and
with all your soul.
Matt 7:7-12 NKJV
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek , and you will
find ; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone
who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him
who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among
you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a
stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a
serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good
gifts to your children, how much more will your Father
who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
