THE BENJAMIN GENERATION – ESTIMATED FROM AGES 27- 42
The following are my insights into the Benjamin
generation from scripture.
BENJAMIN – SON OF MY RIGHT HAND
Benjamin was born from the church generation that
suffered through the labor of trouble, insult and shame
of disgrace and her glory died. The church was not
strong enough to bring forth that which God had ordained
in the end times. The Father took His chosen generation
of Benjamin and hid him away in a protected place,
raised differently than his brothers. Benjamin was
raised in favor and carried upon the Father’s shoulder,
to be equipped for leadership.
Benjamin, having been raised without the glory and
nurturing of a mother church, understands the suffering
of his elder brother who was also separated from his
family and betrayed. Benjamin shall be of great comfort
to Joseph when the time comes to build a nation.
The key to Benjamin’s position is between the Father’s
shoulders, in a sheltered and safe place. Benjamin shall
take back that which has been stolen from generations,
and divine the goods with God’s people. Scripture says
that the last enemy to be conquered will be death. The
generation of Benjamin has and will conquer death.
Gen 35:16-18 AMP
And they journeyed from Bethel and had but a little
way to go to Ephrath [Bethlehem] when Rachel suffered
the pangs of childbirth and had hard labor. 17 When
she was in hard labor, the midwife said to her, Do not
be afraid; you shall have this son also. 18 And as
her soul was departing, for she died, she called his
name Ben-oni [son of my sorrow]; but his father called
him Benjamin [son of the right hand].
Isa 37:3-4 NLT
They told him, "This is what King Hezekiah says: This
is a day of trouble, insult, and disgrace. It is like
when a child is ready to be born, but the mother has no
strength to deliver it.
Gen 42:4 NKJV
But Jacob did not send Joseph's brother Benjamin
with his brothers, for he said,"Lest some calamity
befall him."
Gen 45:12-15 NKJV
"And behold, your eyes and the eyes of my brother
Benjamin see that it is my mouth that speaks to you. 13
So you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt,
and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and
bring my father down here." 14 Then he fell on his
brother Benjamin's neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on
his neck. 15 Moreover he kissed all his brothers and
wept over them, and after that his brothers talked with
him.
Gen 45:21-22 NKJV
Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them
carts, according to the command of Pharaoh, and he gave
them provisions for the journey. 22 He gave to all of
them, to each man, changes of garments; but to Benjamin
he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes
of garments.
Deut 33:12 NKJV
Of Benjamin he said: "The beloved of the LORD shall
dwell in safety by Him, Who shelters him all the day
long; And he shall dwell between His shoulders."
Gen 49:27 NKJV
"Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; In the morning he shall
devour the prey, And at night he shall divide the
spoil."
POEM: BENJAMIN, MY SON WHO OVERCOMES DEATH 3/15/07
Benj is My Son,
the one who's WON.
Look at him go,
he's followed Me so.
Right from the tomb,
and away from doom
He's planted in hope
and not to mope.
Cause he's My Son,
My favored one.
His future is assured,
not one that's lured.
He keeps climbing
in synch with My timing.
He's got courage
to look past discouraged
He devours
the enemies that steal
And shares the goods
with all he could.
Through humble heart,
trusting from the start
I exchanged the sorrow
for a hope filled tomorrow.
Benj is given five portions
for his devotion
Because he's My Son,
My favored one.
