THE BEST OF THE BEST 3/18/08
QUICKENED QUESTION: Today Wayne asked me, “Why
do they call good Friday, Good?”
QUICKENED ANSWER: Because the Father gave His
very best for us Who is Jesus, His Son. Jesus is the
Father’s Good and Perfect Gift. And because Jesus gave
His very best to the Father’s will, Who is our Good
Father. Both the Father and Jesus gave their very best
for us, so that we may be forgiven, adopted into their
family and have eternal life with them.
James 1:17-18 NKJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom
there is no variation or shadow of turning.
John 10:11, 14-16 NKJV
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His
life for the sheep.... 14 I am the good shepherd; and I
know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father
knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My
life for the sheep.
THE BEST OF THE BEST – 3 FOLD WITNESS
Within a few days of each other, I had a gal send me an
email that said, “You're the absolute best of the
best!” That really touched my heart, I hadn’t heard
that phrase before. And then a few days later I was at
a conference and the pastor prayed over me and asked the
Lord if He would give me His very best. I had never
heard anyone pray that before and it was really
quickened to me as He brought back the remembrance of
that email. When I came home, Wayne asked me why they
called Good Friday, Good. And I responded it was
because Jesus gave His very best gift, His life. I knew
this was the Lord’s quickened Word, as He filled my
mouth, my friend’s mouth and the pastor’s mouth with His
answer.
WORD TO PONDER: MY BEST FOR YOU 3/18/08
Dear ones, when you give Me your all, I give you Mine.
When you lay down your life for Me, I lay all aside for
you. When you give Me your best, I give you My best.
And when you have failed to give your best, and you
return to Me wholeheartedly in repentance and change, I
still give you My best. I give you My best robe and
ring, My best gifts, the best of My oil, new wine and
grain. I give you the best of the land. I give you My
best, because I AM your Good Father and I give good
gifts to My children. I give you My very best because
You are My precious child.
Luke 15:22-24 NKJV
"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the
best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand
and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf
here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for
this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and
