{Walk With Me} To Decree, A New Way Of Thinking

RHEMA 6/18/08 TO DECREE, A NEW WAY OF THINKING

HEARD: Advancement. Where are we going? Grand finale. Personality. Reluctant. I changed you. Tenacity to pursue. Why is this important? So that you would not give up. Climax. Hang on, it’s going to be fun. It’s useful. What I will show you. A tree of life as it flows from the throne. A new way of thinking.

PARABLE: I just went in to get my protein drink in the middle of the night to take my meds. I had complained to Wayne how I could not open the drink with much pain and Wayne told me to punch a hole with a knife instead. I remembered this, and it was SO simple to use the knife instead of my fingers or teeth and it was the same truth about peeling the banana with the knife.

It was quickened to me that what we decree will open much easier through the realm of the sword of the Spirit, than by using our natural flesh and hard work to do the same thing. This really is a new way of thinking for me, as to daily living and walking out my faith. To decree instead of pray or request. To decree the natural results as I walk things out in faith.

Heb 4:12 NKJV

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Ps 149:5-9 NKJV

Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment — This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!

Isa 49:2-3 NKJV

And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, And made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden Me."

3 "And He said to me, 'You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.'

Rev 1:16 NKJV

He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

Rev 2:16

Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

Rev 19:15-16 NKJV

Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

QUICKENED MEMORY: I was reminded of Bobby Conner’s testimony when many years ago the Lord gave him a vision of a gunman that was about to shoot Bobby. When the vision actually literally happened a few minutes later, Bobby was stunned and the Lord told Bobby to decree what he wanted to happen, because his life depended upon it.

So Bobby started binding and rebuking the demonic spirits, and decreeing the results of a several hour stand off between the police and gunman. It saved Bobby’s life and the gunman ended up coming out of the water without shooting anyone and without being shot. It was an amazing play-by-play testimony of the power to decree, because as each circumstance played out to catch the man, whatever Bobby decreed ended up happening between the police and the man.

When the police would make a decision and give an order, the Lord would whisper to Bobby, “Is that what you want to happen?” Bobby would see it through the eyes of wisdom and say “No.” So the Lord would encourage him to decree exactly what he wanted to happen in each circumstance. It was an amazing testimony of the power and authority He has given to decree and His power to back our Words.

Job 22:28 KJV

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

HEARD: The joy of the Lord is your strength. I favored you.

VISION: I saw an angel and he came and got me along the sidelines. I was sitting in the first pew facing forward to the side of podium on its right. I acknowledged him with a military salute. His head had been recently shaved and I knew it was a symbol that signified something. He held out his hand to me, and brought me forward to the podium. He looked out to the audience and said, “This is Sandy right here.” Then the angel decreed, “God can heal right now.”

HAIR SHAVED

The man who made a vow to God was responsible to Him with his whole body and being. Not even a hair was to be injured willfully during the whole period of the vow, for all belonged to God. The conclusion of the Nazirite vow was marked by sacrifices and the shaving of the head at the door of the sanctuary (Num 6:1-21), indicative of a new beginning of life.

The long untouched hair was therefore considered as the emblem of personal devotion (or devotedness) to the God of all strength. Thus it was an easy step to the thought that in the hair was the seat of strength of a Samson (Judg 16:17,20). God has numbered the very hairs of the head (Matt 10:30; Luke 12:7), which to human beings conveys the idea of the innumerableness (Ps 40:12; 69:4). What God can number, He can also protect, so that not even a hair of the head might "fall to the earth" or "perish." These phrases express complete safety (1 Sam 14:45; 2 Sam 14:11; 1 Kings 1:52; Luke 21:18; Acts 27:34).

As I pondered the shaved head as a symbol that a vow had been fulfilled, the Lord brought back the memory of the scripture in Job, that decreeing and vows are somehow related. I am wondering if after we have paid a sacrificial price in being tested in our vows, that after the test is over, we are backed with tremendous authority to decree.

Word to ponder: TO DECREE, A NEW WAY OF THINKING 6/18/08

Beloved it is time to walk in the advancement and promotion of the authority I have given you. You have humbled yourself before Me and submitted to Me by putting unrighteousness out of your life. You were faithful to pay your vows to Me and walk through seasons of fasting to put to naught the desires of your flesh and submit to My training.

It is time to walk in faith that I truly hear your prayers and will back you as you speak, declare, decree, command and release My Word upon the earth. Make judicial choices with love, mercy and justice and then decree that choice into the earth. I shall establish your vote as you learn to rule and reign with the power of My Spirit and My Sword in your mouth. Angelic hosts are backing you beloved one, learn to walk in this place with holy boldness and courage.

Job 22:23-23:1 AMP

If you return to the Almighty [and submit and humble yourself before Him], you will be built up; if you put away unrighteousness far from your tents, 24 If you lay gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brook [considering them of little worth], 25 And make the Almighty your gold and [the Lord] your precious silver treasure, 26 Then you will have delight in the Almighty, and you will lift up your face to God. 27 You will make your prayer to Him, and He will hear you, and you will pay your vows. 28 You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways. 29 When they make [you] low, you will say, [There is] a lifting up; and the humble person He lifts up and saves. 30 He will even deliver the one [for whom you intercede] who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands. [Job 42:7,8.]
