TOO MUCH TALKING AND NOT ENOUGH WALKING 5/06/09
A member of our QW class shared that she kept hearing
the phrase, “Everybody's talking about a new way of
walking.”
As I read her statement I thought of a phrase the Lord
once told me: “There's too much talkin and not enough
walkin it out."
Perhaps the reason we are stuck between the old and the
new is that we are not walking or moving past our past.
We have a closet and drawer principle in our home. If we
don't have enough room to buy the new thing, then we
have to get rid of the old thing first. It's pretty hard
to walk in the old and new wine skin at the same time.
Luke 5:36-39
Then He spoke a parable to them: "No one puts a piece
from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new
makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of
the new does not match the old. 37 And no one puts new
wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst
the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be
ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins,
and both are preserved. 39 And no one, having drunk old
wine, immediately desires new; for he says, 'The old is
better.'"

8/1/98 GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR EVERY SHAKING
HEARD: Expectation. Opened eyes. Higher level
of faith. Level of faith. Shake, rattle and roll. He has
a purpose for each step. From end to end I will fulfill
all My promises. Too much talking, not enough walking it
out.
APPLICATION: When things shake around us, God
uses it to draw us to Him and take us higher in our
levels of faith. Sometimes we just have to walk through
things for our faith to grow.
Heb 12:25-29 NKJV
See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if
they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth,
much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him
who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the
earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I
shake not only the earth, but also heaven." 27 Now this,
"Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things
that are being shaken , as of things that are made, that
the things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot
be shaken , let us have grace, by which we may serve God
acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God
is a consuming fire.

WORDS TO PONDER ABOUT LEARNING THROUGH EXPERIENCE
THE LONG WAY AROUND 9/17/97
Sometimes you become frustrated by laboriously walking
through a series of circumstances before you find My
heart in a matter, when you think the simplest way would
have been to hear My “yes” or “no.” I have specialized
training for everything that happens in your life. In
this instance, what I want you to learn needs to be
deeper than head knowledge, or facts that you can call
up from some data base of information. When you learn by
experience, it slows down the process so that you will
not skip necessary steps, otherwise unlearned. You are
better able to learn about the issues on a deeper level.
When you learn slower, it keeps you from making
accidents in your conclusions and choices, and you
become more responsible for having walked through the
steps involved. So perhaps you think that you may have
walked a needless circle of events, but I see them as
training for days to come.
“Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep
yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have
seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days
of your life. And teach them to your children and your
grandchildren…” (Deut 4:9-10 NKJV)

ADOPTIVE PARENTS 9/30/03
I am raising up godly teachers who will be like adoptive
parents. There will be a huge demand for their teaching
gifts when the fish net is full of new believers and is
emptied out. You have heard the old adage, “Give a
person a fish, and he has food for a day. Teach a person
to fish, and he has food for a lifetime.” This is My
heart.
This teaching concept is the opposite of lectures and
theories. Instead it is “how to learning,” by being
teaching examples and letting the students learn by
having their own similar experiences. The young will
learn My ways and voice by watching these parents model
their own relationship with Me, then they will mimic it
themselves until they develop their own skills. My
precious fish will learn quickly and be able to maneuver
in fast waters.
I will bond the adoptive parents with their children and
visa versa. There will be great nurturing and
appreciation sent straight from My own heart and living
through My own ones.
“Listen, my child, to what your father teaches you.
Don't neglect your mother's teaching. What you learn
from them will crown you with grace and clothe you with
honor.” (Prov 1:8-9 NLT)
