RHEMA 3/23/09 TRIGGER POINTS: TO FACE THEM HEAD ON
HEARD SONG: I woke up hearing a song that we used
to sing in my youth. It is from Psalm 34.
Ps 34:1-4 NKJV
I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall
continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast
in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name
together. I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and
delivered me from all my fears .
QUICKENED CD: I listened to a CD that someone
gave me from John Paul Jackson. It was all about how
God leads us to face our fears and not run away from
them. It is only in facing them that we can conquer
them and overcome them. If we run from them, they live
to taunt us another day.
1 Sam 17:34-37 NKJV
Your servant used to keep his father's sheep, and
when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the
flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered
the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I
caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. Your
servant has killed both lion and bear ; and this
uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them,
seeing he has defied the armies of the living God."
Moreover David said, "The LORD, who delivered me from
the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He
will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine."
EXPERIENCE: I went to a healing conference and
someone saw dots on me and asked me what I thought they
were. My first impression was trigger points. I was
thinking about places on the physical body where the
nerves connect and they can become sore and tender.
CONFIRMATION: Later the minister was introducing
his team and their places of expertise. One of them had
the gift of identifying trigger points and areas of
trauma.
Ever since my interpretation was confirmed I have been
asking how to get healed from points of trauma in our
lives.
REVELATION; I had a download after hearing the
song and also the idea of facing our fears. Many times
we wince and recoil from places in our lives that
triggers old traumas. They are painful reminders when
we revisit those places. I understood that the Lord
will allow us to revisit old places, but this time
through circumstances, give us a GOOD experience so that
it overwrites our pain with a good ending.
The moral of the story is that if we are not willing to
face our fears when the Lord brings us to them, we will
miss our GOOD gift and GOOD resolution. He wants us to
see these things from His perspective and receive them.
Isa 61:7 NKJV
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor,
and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their
portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess
double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. |
