DREAM FROM READER: Unorthodox Training 3/02/09
A reader shared her dream with me today. She was
boarding a train and behind her was a RUSSIAN ORTHODOX
PRIEST. She turned around and looked at him and said,
"You must have a ticket to ride this train." He didn't
have a ticket and she knew it was a special train.
SANDY INTERPRETATION
Rushing and traditional ways are not allowed in the
training of the Lord. He is going the slow route in His
training and He is very creative. God will use
unorthodox, unconventional ways to teach us and we will
walk them out in experiences so that we dont forget
them.
WORD TO PONDER: LIVING THE LESSON
Precious, when I have ordained for you to walk through
something instead of being delivered from it, it is so
that you may learn through experience. What you walk
out is a better training than reading from a book,
attending a class or hearing a sermon on the subject.
What others have learned and passed on is always helpful
wisdom and you can avoid many mistakes in life by
listening. However there are some things that are not
imparted without living them out in real life.
You will learn how to make good decisions by seeing that
everything caused really does have an effect. When you
walk out the effects of your decisions, you will not
only learn wisdom and understanding, but you will have
developed your character and fruits of My Spirit.
As you seek My help, your faith grows as you
participate. Most of all, as you partner with Me in
these issues, I promise to reveal Myself to you in ways
you would have never known Me otherwise. Our intimacy
together is so much deeper than any method of second
hand learning. Trust Me that I have our very best in
mind when I lead you to live the lesson.
Isa 3:10-11 NKJV
Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them,
For they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe to the
wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his
hands shall be given him.
Ps 128:1-2 NKJV
Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in
His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, you
shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.

INSERTS LEARNING THROUGH EXPERIENCE
RHEMA 9/17/97 LEARNING BY EXPERIENCE
DREAM: I was in school and a teacher was trying to
explain why we were learning via experience instead of
just head knowledge. As she was explaining, she asked me
if I knew how to such and such. I had never heard of the
such n such so I said no. Then she said to make her
example simpler, she asked if I knew how to paint a box.
I thought about the steps I would take to paint a box.
My first thought would be to paint the bottom of the
box, then I realized that would be stupid and then it
would be wet. So I backtracked my thoughts and told
myself to start on the inside of the box. At that point
I had decided I knew how to paint a box and told her
yes.
Then she was explaining how we need to learn things by
experience, and asked me why. I was explaining that
experience keeps up from skipping necessary steps,
learning more depth about issues, keeps us from
accidental conclusions, we move slower thus more
responsible in the doing of it.
HEARD: Greater understanding. Rainbow. Leading a horse.
Training.
COMMENT: In application, rather than just telling us His
answer, He is taking us the long way around answers we
are searching for, in order to train us for future
things. This training will keep us from making mistakes
in the future and we will become more responsible.

RHEMA 5/27/98 I’M LEARNING BY DOING!
QUICKENED PHRASE: “I
heard and forgot, I saw and remembered, I did and
understood.”
QUICKENED CALENDAR: Jeffy from Family Circus is in the
midst of a very messy room and says, “Mom, I’m just
learning by doing!”

RHEMA 4/16/00 CLOSE THE DOOR TO CARNAL TV
HEARD: Salt. Lesson number one, keep it closed.
DREAM: I had an incoming tide dream where a destructive
wave came in unexpectedly.
DREAM: I was telling people that sometimes we have to
learn by experience, instead of being just told. Because
we learn it better first hand, plus we remember it
better.
UPDATE: I came down with the flu the next day and was
sick for 1 week. I felt it was a rebuke for watching
carnal TV the night before.

RHEMA 3/15/03 A LEADER LEARNS BY EXPERIENCE
HEARD: I want to follow. I want to lead. A leader learns
by experience. Doing it. Stay calm. We’re going
somewhere.
