UPROOTING THE BITTER ROOT OF A DIVIDED HOUSE
vision:
I saw a mantle being torn in half, top to bottom.
HEARD: What is this field?
HEARD: A root of bitterness. This is
important. Dear God, please let everyone heal.
DREAM: I saw men angels in working clothes
and they were walking down the river bank and I asked
them if they could please pull out the big giant weeds,
but please leave the ferns. I saw the ferns were
absolutely gorgeous and huge. The weeds were the same
size.
WORD TO PONDER: 2/03/08 UPROOTING THE BITTER ROOT OF
A DIVIDED HOUSE
All over the world My people have suffered the deep,
bitter pain of a house divided. When resources have
dwindled, when children leave the nest, when friends
move, when a loved one dies, when betrayal works its
rending, when opinions clash, when marriages fail ....
all of these and more are the painful wounds of a house
divided. Many who have gone through this deep rending,
have bitterroots that have grown up along the good
fruit. The crop is now full and I AM sending My angels
to go out among the hearts of men and uproot the bitter
root of a divided house.
Dear precious ones, when it comes time to uproot this
bitter root, it will come out through weeping and
acceptance. I know this is very, very hard, but as you
offer up the pain of your soul of feeling abandoned and
alone, I will wash you with My Presence as I rain upon
your tears and cleanse your soul. As you look at the
rending and accept that even in the worst case of
failure, I have allowed this for your good, it will give
you grace to swallow the bitter cup.
When within the deepest agony of bitter tears, you are
able to look up into My own wet face and be honored and
thankful to have suffered for My will in your life, then
you will know the final resting place and depths of a
cleansed heart without a bitter root. You will know My
sweetest release and understand My love is bittersweet
agony.
Hos 6:3 NKJV
Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn
, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind
us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third
day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.
Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD.
His going forth is established as the morning; He will
come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former
rain to the earth.
Matt 27:50-54 NKJV
And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and
yielded up His spirit. 51 Then, behold, the veil of the
temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth
quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were
opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen
asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after
His resurrection, they went into the holy city and
appeared to many. So when the centurion and those with
him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the
things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying,
"Truly this was the Son of God!"
Mark 10:38-40 NKJV
But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you
ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be
baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" 39
They said to Him, "We are able." So Jesus said to them,
"You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with
the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized;
MISC SCRIPTURES ABOUT THE FRUIT OF BITTERNESS
2 Kings 20:5 NKJV
In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And
Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and
said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Set your house in
order, for you shall die, and not live.'"
2 Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed
to the LORD, saying, 3 "Remember now, O LORD, I pray,
how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal
heart, and have done what was good in Your sight." And
Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into
the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him,
saying, 5 "Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My
people, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of David your
father:"I have heard your prayer, I have seen your
tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you
shall go up to the house of the LORD.
Ex 15:22-27 NLT
They traveled in this desert for three days without
water. 23 When they came to Marah, they finally found
water. But the people couldn't drink it because it was
bitter. (That is why the place was called Marah, which
means "bitter.") 24 Then the people turned against
Moses. "What are we going to drink?" they demanded.
So Moses cried out to the LORD for help, and the LORD
showed him a branch. Moses took the branch and threw it
into the water. This made the water good to drink. It
was there at Marah that the LORD laid before them the
following conditions to test their faithfulness to him:
26 "If you will listen carefully to the voice of the
LORD your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying
his commands and laws, then I will not make you suffer
the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the LORD
who heals you." 27 After leaving Marah, they came to
Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm
trees. They camped there beside the springs.
Luke 22:60-62 NKJV
But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you are
saying!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, the
rooster crowed. And the Lord turned and looked at
Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how
He had said to him, "Before the rooster crows, you will
deny Me three times." So Peter went out and wept
bitterly.
Acts 8:23 NKJV
For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and
bound by iniquity."
Eph 4:31-32 NKJV
Let all bitterness , wrath, anger, clamor, and evil
speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And
be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Col 3:19 NKJV
Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward
them.
Heb 12:14-16 NKJV
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without
which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest
anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of
bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many
become defiled;
James 3:10-12 NKJV
Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing.
My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a
spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same
opening?
James 3:14-18 NKJV
But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your
hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This
wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly,
sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking
exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But
the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then
peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and
good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by
those who make peace. |
