6/27/18 TO BE A VOLUNTEER
IN THE DAY OF HIS POWER
HEARD AND SAW
Volunteer. I saw myself raising my hand. Precious
child, I see your hand. Aggressive action. That’s not the
issue. The point is to be available. Follow through.
Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,
Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here
am I; send me.
Yesterday as I pondered the following scripture, I wondered
how to apply being a volunteer in the day of His power
because I feel so impotent when I pray. The physical needs
of me and my family. He is saying His power is not in my
physical strength to aggressively pray with authority.
Rather it is in simply being available – to be there at the
right time and say YES to God when He calls upon you. I
fondly remember Bob Jones saying his favorite prayer was
HELP LORD.
Psalms 110:3 (AMP) 3 Your people will offer
themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty
of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the
morning; to You [will spring forth] Your young men, who are
as the dew.

WORD TO PONDER – REMAIN AVAILABLE FOR USE 6/27/18
Dear heart, I know all your struggles to overcome and stay
on top and not beneath the pile. Always remember that when
you pray in authority, it is not in your tone of voice or
strength to muster up aggressive commands! My kingdom is
not a demonstration of your strength. I rejoice in using
weak vessels so that the power that rests upon you is My
power and My glory that shall be revealed through you. Yes
you have decreased, allow Me to increase. Draw upon Me dear
one! Simply remain available for My use.
1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (Passion Translation NT) My brothers
and sisters, when I first came to proclaim to you the
secrets of God, I refused to come as an expert, trying to
impress you with my eloquent speech and lofty wisdom. 2
For while I was with you I was determined to be consumed
with one topic—Jesus, the crucified Messiah. 3 I
stood before you feeling inadequate, filled with reverence
for God, and trembling under the sense of the importance of
my words. 4 The message I preached and how I
preached it was not an attempt to sway you with persuasive
arguments but to prove to you the almighty power of God’s
Holy Spirit. 5 For God intended that your faith
not be established on man’s wisdom but by trusting in his
almighty power.
