WORD TO PONDER: WARNING, JACOB STOP HEAL GRIPPING
12/29/07
Jacob, like the wild Mustang horses, you are equipped
with strong passion that drives you to your goals. Many
years I have worked on your nature of presumption,
taking risks without waiting upon Me for confirmation,
and tenderizing your hardened heart. I have been loving
and patient with you, I have not treated you as you
treat others. I have lovingly kept you protected,
blessed and in ample provision.
It is true I have loved your passion and drive for
faith, for Me, for My gifts. I AM opening your eyes to
where you have taken the gifts without relationship. I
have mentioned this before. Resist the flesh's impulse
to step on people to get to where you want to go. When
you “take” the gifts that are given with such sacrifice,
you are using people and plundering the hearts of those
that love and support you. Dear passionate one, find
room in your heart to be thankful, gracious, patient and
loving for even the smallest gifts that come through
vessels much weaker than yourself.
Jacob, I love you with an everlasting love. You have
wrestled Me for the blessing and won but your nature
will change as a result. Dear beloved, repent, ask
forgiveness of those you need to humble yourself to and
then move in the right direction. I AM the God of
justice and will repay all fairly.
Gen 25:26 NKJV
Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took
hold of Esau's heel; so his name was called Jacob .
Gen 25:31 NKJV
But Jacob said, "Sell me your birthright as of this
day."
Gen 27:19 NKJV
Jacob said to his father, "I am Esau your firstborn;
I have done just as you told me; please arise, sit and
eat of my game, that your soul may bless me."
Gen 27:35-36 NKJV
But he said, "Your brother came with deceit and has
taken away your blessing."
36 And Esau said,"Is he not rightly named Jacob ? For
he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my
birthright, and now look, he has taken away my
blessing!"
Gen 32:24-32 NKJV
Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with
him until the breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that
He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of
his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint
as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said, "Let Me go, for
the day breaks." But he said,"I will not let You go
unless You bless me!" 27 So He said to him, "What is
your name?" He said, "Jacob ." 28 And He said,"Your
name shall no longer be called Jacob , but Israel; for
you have struggled with God and with men, and have
prevailed." 29 Then Jacob asked, saying, "Tell me Your
name, I pray." And He said, "Why is it that you ask
about My name?" And He blessed him there. 30 So Jacob
called the name of the place Peniel: "For I have seen
God face to face, and my life is preserved." 31 Just as
he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he
limped on his hip. 32 Therefore to this day the children
of Israel do not eat the muscle that shrank, which is on
the hip socket, because He touched the socket of Jacob's
hip in the muscle that shrank.
