RHEMA 10/21/00 What was Peter's Shadow?

I turned to the following verse: Acts 5:15-16 As a result of the apostles' work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter's shadow might fall across some of them as he went by.

Acts 5:14-16 NKJV

And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.

I was wondering what the shadow was caused from.

HEARD: Glory.

[God's glory was emanating from him and it cast a shadow]

Acts 6:14-15 NLT

At this point everyone in the council stared at Stephen because his face became as bright as an angel's.

Matt 17:1-3 NKJV

 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

Ex 34:29-31 NKJV

Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses' hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him. 30 So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.

Isa 60:5 NKJV

Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy;  Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

THE ARK HIDDEN WITHIN TO BE REVEALED  9/3/00

Like the seasons of a blossoming rose, so I have ordained a pathway perfect for you. Hidden inside your chambers, even to yourself, is the finest of gold, purified and preserved for the revealing in time.  Like the ark of the covenant, I have placed My ark within you, and in My day, I will open the lid and reveal what is inside. Golden, radiant glory, waiting to be revealed. It shall flow from the throne room. Nothing shall stop its flow, for I will pour it directly into you and out it will come. My Word shall be in your

mouth and you shall pour forth like a mighty stream of a throne room river. Get ready for the unveiling, get ready to shine.

“…And behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat.”  (Heb 9:3-5 NKJV)

THE HALLS OF FAITH  11/26/03

I declare My unending favor upon your life!  Proven through the fires of testing and refining, you have been faithful to hold onto My Word. You believed Me in spite of everything speaking the opposite, and you held firmly onto Me.  Dear one, in heaven your picture is forever mounted in the halls of faith.  Your face shines with the radiant faith that not only carried you through rough times, but also brought you to Me on the wings of My Spirit.  Even though you feel weak and unstable right now, I declare this, for it is already so in heaven.

I have placed a refuge deep within your foundation that shall not fail.  My favor will never depart from you, no not ever.  Although you do not understand this now, the walls of your faith are strengthened and reinforced with My favor.  I will continue to reinforce your walls until you are no longer shaky, but set firmly in My favor.  My favor keeps you, settles you and brings you into a much needed rest.  My favor remains, and you will fear nothing because you abide deeply in Me.  I AM always with you, I shall never depart or leave you abandoned on your own.

There will come a day when your faith shines so strong, that it shall be like a radiant beam of light.  I will place opportunities before you and My Spirit shall rush through you with quickened bursts that shoot forth My anointing to those in need.

“What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. God gave his approval to people in days of old because of their faith. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.”  (Heb 11:1-3 NLT)

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”  (Luke 2:52 KJV)

FOCUS AND CROSS PURPOSES  1/08/06

The intercessors are praying at cross purposes.  Those who are focusing on warfare are facing the enemy perspectives and are headed towards colder weather. Those who are focusing towards Me are headed into warmer climate.  As you gaze into the distance and consider your future, you shall receive exactly what you focus upon.

Wherever your focus is, there shall your heart be also. The days are growing darker, and deep darkness the people.  Lift up your eyes.  Consider that which is pure, honorable, true and lovely.  Leave the darkness behind and turn towards Me, the light of your salvation.  This will keep your disposition bright and lighter, as you journey closer to Me.

Deposit your treasures from what you focus upon - into My “goodness account”. Your wealth will increase from the good deposits of prayers, faith, hope in the future and plans I have for you. You shall become radiant, My glory shall be seen upon you and many shall come to My light that shines within you.

Matt 6:21-23 NLT

Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.  "Your eye is a lamp for your body. A pure eye lets sunshine into your soul.  But an evil eye shuts out the light and plunges you into darkness. If the light you think you have is really darkness, how deep that darkness will be!
