2/10/18 TEACHING
- WHY DOES GOD ALLOW STRONG MEAT DREAMS?
Hebrews 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be
teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be]
the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become
such as have need of milk, and not of
strong meat. 13 For
every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of
righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But
strong meat belongeth to
them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason
of use have their senses exercised to
discern both good
and evil.
Strong meat dreams/ visions/ rhema contain mixture of both
good and evil. Their source can either be God, the devil or
the soul. Chewing the meat and spitting out the bones is the
act of separating the mixture of good and evil. Separating
the good from evil is discernment.
WHAT IS DISCERNMENT?
{This section is taken from my book, Discernment How to
Separate the Holy from the Profane
Discernment in the Greek language means judicial estimation,
discern, disputation. It comes from a word meaning to
separate thoroughly, withdraw, oppose, discriminate,
decide, hesitate, contend, make to differ, doubt, judge, be
partial, stagger, waver. (#1) So if you wrestle with
wavering in what you discern, now you know why. These words
describe the process the receiver of discernment goes
through! When the discerner is confronted with something
that appears good on the outside, but isn’t, it becomes a
stumbling block to his spirit. His flesh sees good signs,
but his spirit is disputing, opposing, hesitating,
contending, differing, doubting, staggering, and wavering
against the outward appearance. Discernment is an internal
war as one grapples to line up what they perceive, with Who
God is, and what is being offered.
In the Bible, we have numerous examples in the Hebrew &
Greek language revealing that discernment is
connected to words having to do with the judicial process.
Further on, there will be a bible study to reveal this. The
bottom line is that discernment is like a pair of judicial
balance scales. A person carefully weighs evidence, both
pro and con. They separate the evidence into two piles….
Good and evil, right and wrong, true and false, holy and
profane, etc.
Note that discernment is the actual PROCESS of separating
into two piles, it is NOT the decisions based upon what
is separated. As compared to a judicial court case, the
word discern would be equivalent to the process of hearing a
case and separating the evidence. Discernment would be
separating the facts, good and bad, then distributing them
into 2 piles. In one pile would be the bad and on the other
would be the good. This process is like what a jury goes
through to deliberate evidence. The jury does not have the
power to pass a sentence of punishment for the results of
lawlessness. They merely separate the facts and decide
whether someone is innocent or guilty.
WHAT WE DISCERN
·
We are to Discern Spiritual Food
Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time you ought to be
teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be
the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become
such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.
·
We are to Discern Prophesy
1 Thessalonians 5:20-22 Despise not prophesying. 21 Test
[DISCERN] all
things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all
appearance of evil.
·
We are to Discern Spirits
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one
for the profit of all… to another discerning of spirits… (1
Cor 12:7-8, 10) T
·
the spirit of man
·
the Spirit of God
·
angelic spirits
·
demonic spirits
·
We are to Discern Fruits
“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless
sheep, but are really wolves that will tear you apart. You
can detect them by the way they act, just as you can
identify a tree by its fruit. You don’t pick grapes from
thorn bushes, or figs from thistles. A healthy tree produces
good fruit, and an unhealthy tree produces bad fruit.”
(Matt 7:15-18 NLT)

WHAT IS THE GOOD?
Scripture tells us that ONLY our God of Lights can give good
gifts.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from
above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom
is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why call me good?
there is none good but one, that is, God.
Exodus 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness
pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD
before you; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious,
and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are
true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be
any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these
things.
WHAT IS EVIL?
Scripture tells us that the devil steals, kills and
destroys. He lies and he deceives. The devil is the
opposite of God but can counterfeit to appear as God.
John 10:10 The thief comes not, but to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the lusts
of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the
beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no
truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own:
for he is a liar, and the father of it.
John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for
the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that
old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the
whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels
were cast out with him.
WHAT IS MIXTURE?
Mixture is like the color grey. If black represented evil
and white represented good, a combination of part black and
part white creates the color grey. Mixture is found in every
level of our personal lives, society and the world.
The passion of God is to have a people separated unto
Himself, raised up in Jesus’ image to rule and reign with
Him. In every area of our lives He is calling us be
separate from the world.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Therefore come out from among them,
and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the
unclean thing; and I will receive you…
Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
WHY DOES GOD ALLOW the mixture of STRONG MEAT DREAMS?
God has many purposes to allow strong meat dreams, visions,
rhema in our lives. The source of strong meat can be God,
the devil or one's soul. The bottom line is so that we
will become separated from evil.
His purposes are:
To Mature us
Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the
faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a
perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness
of Christ:
Hebrews 5:14 But solid food belongs to them that are of
full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses
exercised to discern both good and evil.
To Teach us
-
To search / judge one’s own heart
-
To chastise
-
To shake
-
To manifest soul giants
-
To reveal wrong doors that are opened
-
To manifest family / generational sins
-
To reveal the mixture in a person, family, church,
school, government, city, county, nation.
1 Corinthians 11:31-32 For if we would judge ourselves,
we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are
chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with
the world.
Hebrews 12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the
removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that
are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may
remain.
Numbers 33:55 But if you will not drive out the
inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come
to pass, that those whom you let remain of them shall be
barbs in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall
trouble you in the land wherein you dwell.
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and
said unto him, Behold, you are made whole: sin no more, lest
a worse thing come unto you.
Exodus 34:6-7 And the LORD passed by before him, and
proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious,
longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping
mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression
and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty;
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and
upon the children's children, unto the third and to the
fourth generation.
To warn us
-
To confess our sins (admit and agree with God)
-
To repent (turn around and change)
-
To fervently pray (to earnestly talk to God)
-
To stand in the gap (a holy and sacrificial life of
being God’s friend.)
-
To give warning and/or strategy to a leader
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
Acts 3:19 Repent therefore, and be converted, that your
sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall
come from the presence of the Lord;
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray
one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual
fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that
should build up the wall, and stand in the gap before me for
the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
2 Kings 6:9 And the man of God sent unto the king of
Israel, saying, Beware that you pass not this place; for
there the Syrians have come down.
To make manifest
Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
Ezekiel 8:6-7 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man,
see you what they do? even the great abominations that the
house of Israel commits here, that I should go far off from
my sanctuary? but turn you yet again, and you shall see
greater abominations. 7 And he brought me to the door of the
court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
1 John 3:8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the
devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of
God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the
devil.
