I was watching Joyce Meyer on God TV tonight and she was saying its OK to say I have reached my limit.  She says she teaches seminars on not giving up.  “But you cant go beyond what God is calling you to do and you cant go beyond the grace that God has put upon your life.” 

“If you have spent years trying to help someone and they still haven’t changed.  And now you resent the years, time, effort and money that you spent.... Maybe you want them to change but they didn’t want to change.  Loving people doesn’t always mean rescuing people, especially if it destroys your life.  Love is not letting people use you, especially if they are sucking you dry.  Jesus did not go around trying to make people let Him help them.  He helped those who came to Him...” 

“Sometimes you have to help people from a distance and not let them be involved in your life.  The good Samarian handed him over to the innkeeper and gave him money.  But he had to leave and go take care of his own business...”

Kneeling beside him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with medicine and bandaged them.
