2/01/17 YOUR LIFE ON THE SCALES OF JUSTICE
HEARD:
You’re responsible, accountable. It will go well with
you. Yes these things matter. Rewards. Have you been paid
yet? It’s an honor sweet one and a privilege. I will bless
you.
[I think the Lord is saying we don’t necessarily earn the
honor and privilege of His blessings with a life going well
for us. He is saying that when we make mature decisions it
does matter. But it is not a way of earning a better life.]
Luke 15:29-32 And he answering said to his father, Lo,
these many years have I served you, neither transgressed I
at any time your commandment: and yet you never gave me a
kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 But as soon
as this your son came, who has devoured your living with
harlots, you have killed for him the fatted calf. 31 And he
said unto him, Son, you are ever with me, and all that I
have is yours. 32 It was right that we should make merry,
and be glad: for this your brother was dead, and is alive
again; and was lost, and is found.
WORD TO PONDER: YOUR LIFE ON THE SCALES OF JUSTICE
2/01/17
Dear one when I put you on the scales of justice, I AM not
only looking for how you measure in your words and deeds,
but also your motives in doing them. When you choose to
make the mature and sometimes difficult decisions in your
behavior, yes you do get a reward. Part of this is due to
the spiritual law of reaping what you have sown. And part
of this is being justly paid, just as I paid the laborers of
the vineyard. This trains you that how you live your life
matters. I made this clear to Israel with the promises of
blessings and curses depending upon their obedience to
harken to My Word.
There is another side of this that I want you to be aware
of. Sometimes you do the right things but not with the
perfect attitude, motive or reason. When I choose to honor
you and give you privileges it doesn’t necessarily mean you
are being paid for something you have earned. A laborer
does the right thing because it is expected of him and he
gets paid. A son does his Father’s wishes because he loves
his Father. The difference is one who is bound by duty and
one who is freed through love. Above all My candle is love
and when you live your life by that scale, everything lines
up properly.
Lastly, on the scales of justice, mercy is not earned - it
is given. That is because I promised that mercy triumphs
judgement. Consider these things as you enter a season of
honor and privilege. Remember the joy I have over you and
how I want to bless you simply because I love you and am so
deeply proud of you. Dear one, always remember that in your
abiding with Me, all I have belongs to you.
James 5:10-11 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have
spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering
affliction, and of patience. 11 Behold, we count them happy
who endure. You have heard
of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord;
that the Lord is very compassionate, and of tender mercy.
Job 42:10-12 And the LORD restored the fortunes of Job,
when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice
as much as he had before. 11 Then came there unto him all
his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had
been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him
in his house: and they consoled him, and comforted him over
all the trouble that the LORD had brought upon him: every
man also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of
gold. 12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than
his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six
thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand
female donkeys.
