A Glimpse of The Fear of the Lord

Hi Loved Ones,

I had several intense ministry experiences on Sunday. In pondering them later the Lord told me the combination of all experiences were His Word for His own ones at this hour in time. I want to share them with you separately because I feel that this will give an additional taste and flavor behind the Word.

During worship I had been praying for a fellow who is very gifted in prophetic evangelism and has been a Christian for at least 20 years. He had been struggling with sin in his life and fallen once again. I suddenly had a vision where I saw myself go over to this brother with fire in my eyes. I laid my hand upon his heart and called him by name saying, "God loves you." Then with the ferociousness of a mother bear, I ripped the demons out of him. The feeling I had for him was very intense. It was a combination of serious, sober and intense love.

Also during worship I had an intercessory experience of the pain of abandonment. I was sensing the pain that some have from abandonment by parents, abandonment by friends, abandonment by the system, abandonment by those we minister with and work along side of, abandonment by shepherds, and abandonment by those to whom we have shown kindness to in the past. Then I heard the voice of the Lord say, "Don’t you understand that I allowed this for a purpose and that was to strip you of all your lovers? I love you with an everlasting love and I want all of you! You belong to ME and "I" have adopted you as MY own." His emphasis was on the word "I." Those were simple Words to hear, but that same fierce intensity of the mother bear was behind them. As He spoke this, upon the Word "lovers," He superimposed the scripture passage in Hosea 2 where He takes His people into the wilderness and strips them of all there false lovers so that they will return to Him. In the end, He wants a relationship with us where we no longer serve Him out of obedience like a slave for a Master, but out of love, like a wife for her Husband.

I felt this was a Word for the body. As I shared these things, when I came to the part about the intensity of God’s love for us and how He wanted to adopt us as His own, I began to shake so under the power of the Lord that I barely got out what He had placed upon my heart to share. I tried to share how God is not mad at us nor angry with us, but His love is very intense and He has fire in His eyes. He is a consuming fire and there is a part of His love for us that we do not yet understand or know. During the experience I remember saying very strongly, "Choose life and not death, choose life and not death, CHOOSE LIFE AND NOT DEATH." Our pastor’s wife had shared that phrase earlier in the service.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS LIKE A FIERCE MOTHER BEAR

After service the same brother came up for prayer and I shared with him that in the days to come the Lord was going to teach him about the fear of the Lord. I told him that God’s love for him was very intense. I told him that nothing can come between a mother bear and her cubs. And when the mother bear stands up in her ferociousness, nothing stands in her way. I told him that the bear represents the fear of the Lord then I shared with him the following vision:

GOD’S FIERCE GRASP OF LOVE

"When in prayer, the Lord took me high up into His Cloud of His glory. I saw neither angels nor any other being, only the pure glory and high wonder of Jesus Himself. So much higher is He than His heavens, that even the heaven of heavens itself is a lowly place compared to the One who is its Author, Creator and Sustainer.

There He showed me, in part, the fierce desire of His love over His loved ones. I saw it compared to the huge, hugging paws of a bear. With a strange fierceness of flaming love, these strong claws reached out and, as it were, seized hold upon the loved one, drawing him inexorably unto Him.

These strong, claw-like golden instruments of tremendous size had two sharp edges, which would enclose the one whom He loved and had chosen for Himself. They seemed to seize hold of only a certain part of that person, the part which He wanted for Himself, sheering off the other part in a process that most deeply wounded the object of His love, and taking His portion away for Himself alone. With unimagined intensity He would seize hold upon that one to devour him with a tremendous appetite and with a violence and desperation that utterly amazed me.

The work of these very sharp claws was a demonstration of His love in operation, for His love for His own is exceedingly great, and His zeal and jealousy are flaming desires that only divine nature can know. This revelation of His love was not frightening to me; to the contrary, it seemed wonderfully desirable to be so loved and drawn into God Himself."

After I finished sharing this vision, our pastor shared a confirmation that just prior to my sharing this Word to the brother, that he had seen a pair of very sharp claws and wondered what it meant.

DON’T RUN FROM THE LORD DURING SURGERY

Later as I looked over at our Pastor praying for another man, I saw that an arrow from the past had entered into the man’s heart. I felt that it was an arrow of disappointment. As I was praying from afar that the Lord would remove the arrow, I heard Him very clearly say, "Tell him not to run." So I went over and explained about the arrow and that I did not know if he had suffered disappointment in himself, in someone else, or in God, but that the Lord wanted to remove the arrow and the pain. I explained that sometimes when the Lord puts us on the operating table that we have to be very still before Him. When He gets close to our old wounds the pain surfaces and it hurts. Then I shared with him that the Lord said, "Tell him not to run."

TWO SIDES OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD

As I pondered these experiences yesterday and the Lord told me they were all one Word for the body, I understood that we had entered a new season. And that is the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord has many aspects and one of them comes from a deep understanding that He is boss and what He says goes. The fear of the Lord can also be our response to His increased and manifested power. In this new season, we are going to experience His increased power.

There are two sides of this fear. For those who live upright lives pleasing to Him, it is a very secure place to feel the intensity of His fiery eyes upon you, and know His fierceness in defending His own. It is a very assuring place to know that His consuming fire is motivated by His intense, heated and fervent love and that He is going to adopt us as His own. (Rom 8:14-23)

On the other side, as His Presence draws nearer to us, and His anointing and gifts become more powerful, there is an accountability that is required. There is no room to be messing around with sin. As I was remembering the power of the Lord vibrating through my vessel while I said, "Choose life and not death," the Lord reminded me of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5.

Beloved of the Lord, that passage in Acts 5 is in the New Testament, and Peter didn’t kill them, but the anointing in the room sure did. The scripture plainly tells us that He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. (Lam 3:33, Ezek 18:23, Ezek 33:11, Hos 11:8, 1 Tim 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9, Luke 9:53-56)

"And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village."

Yet in spite of the fact that the Lord takes no pleasure in premature deaths, Ananias and Sapphira died that day. …"And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things." (Acts 5:11 KJV)

CONFIRMATIONS

I had two confirmations from the Lord about this message. Yesterday as this message was burning on my heart, we pulled into a parking lot for lunch. We parked along side a van that had a huge bear on the driver’s side. The sign said, "Bear Electric." Since I had been thinking about mother bear all morning, it didn’t take too much quickening to realize the Lord was talking to me. But if you go one level deeper, in prophetic terms bear electric means, "The fear of the Lord’s power." And that says a LOT.

The second confirmation was on the day of the WTC. We don’t get TV reception at our home and as I was walking home from watching the news next door, I was taken aback at the breathtaking sight of the most beautiful sunset. It filled the sky with gorgeous color. I stood there for many minutes just praying and taking it all in. I heard the Lord comfort me that in the days to come, a town that I had interceded over for a couple years would be protected. And then I turned around and faced the east.

I was astounded to see a perfect cloud formation of a fierce flying angel with a trumpet in his mouth. He was flying very swiftly, for the wind had streaked his feet and his robe, while his face was peeled back as though the wind was a strong gravity against it. His trumpet was perfectly shaped and not wind blown at all. It was an intense sight clearly written in the clouds.

WORD TO PONDER

Yes My love, even now My heavenly trumpet is blasting that the fierce winds of change have arrived. There are two sides to this wind. The enemy would seek to take the upper hand and use it towards destruction. And if not death, then great opposition. Stand strong My love, for I have given you the authority to withstand and resist any opposition that comes to you.

The other side of this fierce wind blows away your chaff as I harvest your fruit to My self. I pluck and I take with a fierce love, for My love for you is everlasting and all consuming. My wind is no less fierce than the enemy’s and yet this wind produces life and not death, blessing and not cursing.

Allow Me access to separate the chaff from your life. As I do surgery to remove the old in order to reveal the new, trust Me to do a complete work. I know it hurts and your first instinct is to run from Me as I spotlight old wounds. Resist your old patterns of turning to false comforts, for My fierce winds will strip them away like tattered clothes. But as you trust Me and understand that I have only good and loving intentions, when it is over you shall know the truth and it will set you free.

Your joy will be that in the days to come you shall know and experience My power and My intense love in awesome displays. You will learn in the days to come what it truly means to be adopted by Me and be called the children of God. For you belong to Me and I AM all consuming.

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God." (Rom 8:18-20 NKJV)

INSERTS ON THE FEAR OF THE LORD

RHEMA 6/17/00 TAKING THE MANTLE OF HOLINESS BACK FROM THE ENEMY CAMP

DREAM: I had been to Hawaii and right when I was ready to leave, I realized I had left 2 coats, one from this trip and one from another. The one coat was a white polar bear coat. I started swimming really hard to retrieve it before the final boat left. The man refused to take my call about this. But someone else said they would check the store room and see. Then person responsible for lost and found was being hauled forward and he was saying, “I'm not going to give this away, I can't pay the debt!” Then a couple of men brought forth a huge bag of things that were things from my past that had been lost.

HEARD: Ruling authority. Beloved. Devoted.

HEARD [as I was singing, I will call upon the Lord] I will meet you at your level of expectation.

So David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?" And He answered him, "Pursue , for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all."

RHEMA 12/11/00 RESTING UNDER THE FEAR OF THE LORD

DREAM: WHITE POLAR BEAR SPEAKS OF SAFETY IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD

I saw this white polar bear. It came around the corner and I could not run from it. I knew the only safe place was to go into the bear's cave and lay down. I saw an old man and a little girl and lay down on their back, one on top of the other, face up. Then I saw the polar bear lay down over them, to keep them warm and safe. The bear went to sleep and they were all at peace!

I have heard about the 3 generations moving together into their promises, not one without the other. I have seen several visions of this and for some reason they are also stacked like that. I think that it represents being on the same foundation, linked as one. I have thought about the fact these vision are not 3 generations spread out in a vertical line moving forward, as though walking side by side into their promises. It is instead up and down in a vertical alignment as though one body.

Mal 4:5-6 NKJV

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse."

Luke 1:16-17 NKJV

And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

INTERP: The Lord has been drawing generations together as one heart and purpose. All are crossing over together into their destiny in the Lord. The Lord is laying His Presence over them as a warm canopy. Those that fear the Lord will lay down and rest on their backs, with their focus straight up to heaven, feeling safe and secure.

INSERT BEAR 12/7/00: BOBBY CONNER talked about the Bear today. Bob Jones saw a vision of a bear in the middle of the tent. He said it represented the fear of the Lord.

TRAINING IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD 6/08/01

You have yet to understand the fear of the Lord. I will teach you this in a season of change that shall sweep through your life like the winds of autumn. The dead leaves shall fall and be swept away as I reveal My holiness. What you have held onto as idols of comfort will be exposed for what they are. You shall understand what it means to revere and obey My ways and no longer will you wrestle with your flesh, but bring it into obedience to My Word. As you call upon Me for the grace to make a commitment, I assure you I will be there to help you. I will purify your heart and life through My loving kindness. It is My kindness that leads you to repentance.

Prov 9:10-11 NKJV

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy one is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you.

WORD TO PONDER: SWALLOWING YOUR CUP 12/13/01

Today I revealed to you that you have been trying to run away from your calling as a teacher to My children. You perceive the accountability of such and it not only concerns you, but you have also learned the fear of the Lord. I do not want you to run away; rather I want to hold you tight in My arms until you finally relax. And then I will give you the blanket of My protection and you shall be safe My love, I promise this. Trust Me with your calling. And you shall hold the door open for the expression of My Word to go forth on a national level and you shall have a bank account that will not run dry. You are thoroughly paid for and supported. Everything you need will be supplied.

“But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” (2 Thess 3:3 NKJV)

WORD TO PONDER: TO FEAR THE LORD 10/31/02

I have been raising leaders who will have the purest of hearts. Their training has been very difficult, for the lessons they have learned have stripped them of their independence. In all things, they have learned to lean upon Me. I can trust them to live according to My will and My way. They will not open their mouths in presumption, or dare to speak in My Name without knowing the God Whom they represent.

In their weakness and yes in great reverence, they have learned to kiss My Son, and know Him face to face. They have learned the secret of the fear of the Lord. They know there is nothing hidden and all things are laid open and bare before Me, Whose eyes and ears penetrate to the very core of each heart.

“Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” (Ps 2:11-12 NKJV)

WORD TO PONDER: LEARNING TO STAND IN THE POWER OF MY MIGHT 12/4/02

You may feel as though you have been tossed upside down by evil storms, but I want you to know that I am pleased with you! There are many ways to overcome the evil one and above all, your shield of faith has grown strong and enduring. You are fighting the good fight of faith and I AM well pleased with your stand.

In this process of abiding faith, you are learning what it means to fear the Lord. It is better to fear Me than the devil. If you live to please Me, then you have nothing to fear, for divine restraints are put into place and nothing touches you except through My loving mercy and compassion. It is in the knowledge of the fear of the Lord that your faith can finally come to rest. What does it mean to fear Me? It means to really know that I AM Boss and I mean what I say and I do what I promise.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” (Eph 6:10-18 KJV)

WORD TO PONDER: MOTHER BEAR 9/15/03

I AM placing the fear of the Lord over My own. The closer they come to Me, the more they tremble before their Holy God. They have known My kindness, but they do not understand My severity. I delight in lovingkindness, judgment and righteousness in the earth. My grip is like the fierceness of a mother bear when she protects her cubs. The devil is luring My own through cunning deceptions. I will use anything that shakes and trembles My own to train them, in order to keep them from wandering off from their safe place of being nestled in My love.

“But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the LORD.” (Jer 9:24 NKJV)

HEARD: The season it would be: The season of the fear of the Lord. Moving. Headed in that direction. Please hear Me. The dragon, I can't reach her. She's covered. Rebellion. Youth. Commitment.

The fear of the Lord is the Ananias and Sapphira days where God's power is among us and there is no room for sin.

RHEMA 6/15/06 MOVING INTO THE FEAR OF THE LORD

EXPERIENCE: Last night a friend e-mailed me and asked me what was the spiritual significance of a black bear. The bear represents the fear of the Lord. A white bear represents the fear of the Lord and walking in holiness.

HEARD: The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord. I appointed you. Easy equip.

PIX: I saw boy with the Ears2Hear Konk shell to his ear.

PIX: I saw the 2 black bears that are on our porch, a mama and son. She was behind him with her arms wrapped around him.

HEARD: Its worth priceless. A generation.

HEARD: When I was young I spoke like a child. Now that I am old I see differently. Now let us come and draw them to manhood. We will find many waiting for the next step. They listen and obey. Let Me help you.

CONFIRMATION UPDATE: Both pastor and his wife preached on the fear of the Lord, a month later.

RHEMA 7/01/06 GOD'S PEOPLE WASHING THE FEAR OF THE LORD

PIX: I saw the end of a fishing rod and it was inside a washing machine. It had a lasso pulling in.

HEARD: I am holding you. With My love. Purpose. Be kind and watch. Be bold. Scheduled: Clean.

PIX: I saw the continuous repeat on a loop.

HEARD: The Holy Spirit has a way of bypassing the mind. Day and night.

PIX: I saw the words day (and night)

HEARD: Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

PIX: I saw the white bear on its back, leaning against the toilet with its paws out front like a kitty on its back.

INTERP: The white bear represents the fear of the Lord and walking in holiness. We are in being cleansed of the dead works and defilement of flesh, learning to separate the holy from the profane. As we do so, we are to be resting in the Lord, with our focus up towards the Lord, and opening ourselves up to be vulnerable to Him. God is sending out the hunter and fisher angels to lasso us and hold us in place while we are being washed from all that defiles the heart from partnering with the compromise of the world.

And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

Jer 16:16-17 NKJV "Behold, I will send for many fishermen," says the LORD, "and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters , and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes.

WORD TO PONDER: THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS WASHING AND FLUSHING 7/01/06

I have sent My Spirit, the Fear of the Lord, to continue the cycling of washing My people. I AM reopening blind perceptions to see the truth clearly in My Word of what I promise for disobedience. The laws of reaping and sowing are always in effect for all mankind. I have sent My fishers and hunters to catch My own and lovingly, but firmly, hold them with purpose as they wash and release, repent and change.

Release the works of the flesh and crucify them. Loved one, you have nothing to fear if you fear Me. You already know My deep and abiding love for you. My jealousy and passion to have you equally yoked as My bride consumes Me until you are ready. Rest with your focus on Me, and cast all your cares upon Me. Listen and obey, there is no other way. I will have you without spot or wrinkle.

RHEMA 10/13/09 POLAR BEARS REST

EXPERIENCE: I prayed before I went to sleep because my neck and shoulders have been in a lot of pain lately when I wake up. It has taken me half a day to get the pain out and this has been several days in a row. I asked the Lord how to sleep in my bed since this seemed to be a bed issue.

When I asked Him for wisdom, I got the most precious picture:

PIX: I saw my white Polar Bear laying flat on His back with His round belly poking out.

I laughed when I saw His tummy! It was such a precious way to answer my prayer. I have had to be on prednisone for a year now and the medical side effects are fat deposits in the upper belly, neck and face. It even takes your existing fat and moves it there. I have been very sad about this and most people on the internet say they dont get rid of it until after they are off prednisone. So the Lord, in His precious way is telling me He understands. I just admit that round belly on the Polar Bear was cute, but not on me.

Suddenly I understood that He was also telling me to REST and keep my focus UP.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask , and you will receive , that your joy may be full.
