I found out that our friend’s baby took her first
steps last night. [1/26/03] Today at church we enjoyed
seeing her take a few steps all by herself. We were all
so tickled.
At church today, I did something in ministry that I
have never done before. It was a real stretch in
trusting in the Lord. I experienced His anointing and I
was so comforted knowing He was with Me while I was
under the spot light. Later I realized the parable, that
I too, took my first steps and how tickled heaven was to
witness this. They take such delight in us!
Something else happened today that was so funny. The
Lord must be talking to us about feet right now. I was
in the middle of harvesting my past rhema journals and
stopped to take a break. After enjoying a warm shower, I
decided to give myself a pedicure. Later, when I came
back to harvest rhema, I took off my slippers to enjoy a
peek at my soft feet. When I glanced up at my computer
screen, I had no idea what would be the next entry!

PARABLE OF THE FOOT INSPECTOR [1/13/95]:
Today I thought about Gladys Aylward, the missionary
who went to China in 1921. Her inroad to the gospel was
becoming a government "Foot Inspector" of the Chinese
women and girl babies. At that time, the Chinese thought
that small feet were an object of beauty so they wrapped
babies’ feet to stunt their growth. This caused stumped
feet and sad deformities. Gladys was to make sure the
women no longer bound their feet. I was thinking that it
was quite a parable that speaks of our not having
crooked walks, but rather having straight paths in the
Lord. Later I was rubbing lotion on my feet and having
completely forgotten about those thoughts, I heard the
Lord say, "Inspect this!" He has a very funny sense of
humor!
Isa 40:3-5 NLT
Fill the valleys and level the hills. Straighten out
the curves and smooth off the rough spots. Then the
glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all people will
see it together. The LORD has spoken!"
WORD TO PONDER: FOOT INSPECTION
I AM inspecting your feet. These are parables of your
walk in Me. For I have adorned you with the gospel of
peace and it is only in My peace that you shall move
forward into your calling.
"And your feet shod with the preparation of the
gospel of peace;" (Eph 6:15 KJV)

UPDATE CONFIRMATION
I was compiling a short series on His "foot" Words
(for Ears2Hear) since He has been focusing upon feet
lately. I asked the Lord for confirmation. One of the
ones I had formatted was about pacing ourselves.
In the mall, we passed an Oriental mother who was
running after her little son. He was trying out his new
independence in walking and had wildly taken off pushing
his stroller as fast as he could. She called him to come
back and he kept running! When I looked back to see the
result of this adventure, the Mom was hiding behind
various booths, in order to keep watch on her son, but
she did let him know that she was following. When she
finally caught up to him, instead of scolding him, she
was all smiles, picking him up and giving him a big hug.

CONCLUSION

{Words to Ponder are summaries of His quickened Words
of prophetic revelation, punched with the word of wisdom
and written under inspiration.}
WORD TO PONDER: FOOT INSPECTOR
All heaven rejoices as we witness your launching out
and coming to Me in new adventures! What joy it gives us
to see you willingly trust in My goodness and
concentrating on your destination instead of being
afraid of falling.
As you find your balance, I want to make sure that
your walk in Me will be stable and firm, having no bumps
along your way. I want your walk to stay soft and
tender, not hard and callused; A little soap for
repentance, a little warm rain from My Presence, a
little anointing for tenderness, and My shoes of peace
for assurance anywhere you go. I AM with you, child, do
not worry as I take you to new places. My eye is upon
you always, you are not alone.
"Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies
before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; then
stick to the path and stay safe. Don't get sidetracked;
keep your feet from following evil." (Prov 4:25-27 NLT)
