LIVING
SERMONS
Today I
heard a song on the radio. A certain line stuck with me:
"Lord let me be a living sermon, because folks would
rather see than hear one." As I was rehearsing it when I
was grocery shopping, I accidentally said, "Lord let me
be a living legend."
As soon
as I said that, I realized the Lord had filled my mouth
and I said, "Uh Oh!" He nailed me. I’d had a very crabby
and insecure day, but no matter how crabby, I knew He'd
still called me, and I just couldn’t run from that. In
the car, I finally got the victory by shouting at the
top of my lungs, "Hallelujah!! Thank You Jesus!" It was
so loud it startled even me. I felt my cheeks turn red
and I felt much better.
UPDATE
FUNNY CONFIRMATION: I found out later that the same day
Grandma Anna heard the Lord say, "Laughter, laughter.
Rise up and be silent. Prophesying prophet. Computer.
Your task." That is a funny pun and confirmation to,
"Folks would rather see than hear one." I love how He
speaks to us!
PARABLE:
CORNERSTONE MASONRY
When I
got home I typeset a business card for Cornerstone
Masonry. The logo was a bunch of bricks being mortared
together, with a trowel. There was a Christian fish in
the bottom corner. I was thinking about rebuilding the
walls after the spiritual war, and wondering how the
Lord was going to do this.
QUICKENED GLANCE: At that moment my eye bounced to the
bottom of my business card template where I had a
pre-typed sentence for ease in formatting: It said,
"Trust the Lord for Growth." He was answering my
question of the moment.
QUICKENED BLOOPER: Then I made a typo. The line was
supposed to say, "Quality work at an affordable price."
I typed Quality Word at an affordable price! He is so
fun.
Acts
15:16 KJV
After
this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle
of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again
the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

QUICKENED SIGN
"A good
example has twice the value of good advice." When I saw
this my heart connected it with the Lord saying. "Folks
would rather see than hear one."

to Ponder are summaries of His quickened Words of
prophetic revelation, punched with the word of wisdom
and written under inspiration.}
WORD TO
PONDER: LIVING SERMONS
My
people are tired and crabby, having been plundered by
delays in a long spiritual war. I will rebuild them one
Word at a time as they trust Me for their growth. I will
do a quality work among them and although there will be
a cost, it will be filled with My great grace and be
affordable.
I will
send My loved ones forth as examples of My living
sermons, as the world would rather see one than hear
one. In the mean time, their personal stories of how I
have spoken into their life shall become living legends
for the generations who follow in their footsteps. I
will plant their testimonies as memorial stones.
"Ye are
our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all
men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the
epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with
ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in
tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart." (2
Cor 3:2-3 KJV)
