PROTOCOL IN SEEKING THE LORD WHEN IN A TEST

6/02/25 PROTOCOL IN SEEKING THE LORD WHEN IN A TEST

 1Sa 30:6-8 AMP David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God. David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray you, bring me the ephod. And Abiathar brought him the ephod. And David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? The Lord answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.

REVELATION: David was in a mess and I noticed that FIRST David strengthened himself in the Lord. And THEN he sought the Lord for guidance. That is what I do when I want to seek the Lord. I turn my heart towards the Lord and speak in tongues to edify and build my faith. And then I am still before Him to listen. Also another way scripture tells to enter in is through being thankful.

Psalm 100:4-5 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.

6/02/25 CONFIRMATION! JOHN PAUL JACKSON

Oh my! I am listening to another JP today and he just now mentions the above scripture. JP said David remembered his history with the Lord… being anointed twice, slaying the bear and lion and many other times when God was with him.

David says, Psalm 71:17 O God, you have taught me from my youth: and to this day have I declared your wondrous works.

JP then says, now that David is full of faith, now he could seek the Lord!

============

Sometimes when we are going through a test our faith gets wobbly.  We need to stop and strengthen ourselves in the Lord like David did, so that when we seek Him, we seek Him in FAITH!

James 1:6-8 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. 8 A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Jude 20 But you, beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
