CLOCK WALK!

(Text version)

One of the ways He speaks is through divine timing, where events in our natural life line up exactly at the same time.  When this happens it is a lot of fun!

I have a built in sense of timing that has always been a sign to me since I was a child. I began noticing this when I asked the Lord if He would wake me up for school so I didn’t have to use an alarm clock.  He answered that prayer and I rarely used an alarm clock –   I would wake up on the dot.  Or I would cook something and leave the kitchen, only to come back with 1-3 seconds to spare, after not having a clue what the clock says.

Today was a day that God spoke to me about walking in His timing.  In the Bible it says that He has timing for everything He does in our lives.

Ecc 3:1  For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

I was walking in the mall.  I was talking to someone and said that God’s prophets were called watchmen and they wore watches to tell us what time it is! Smile!  As I said this, suddenly I stopped in my tracks for no reason, and looked down. I saw that I was standing on a pair of feet that were taped to the floor at JC Penny’s The feet said, “Countdown to 2,000.”  I smiled at the divine timing between what I said, where I was walking and where my feet landed!

I remembered that yesterday I was heating some milk in the microwave and I was busy working on the computer. When I thought it would be done, I got up and walked into the kitchen. The microwave said, one second!

When I was done fixing my milk and came back to my printer, it was busy printing out bulletins for church. As the last one was going through, I said, “This is the last one!” I had no way of knowing this. Sure enough the printer stopped.

Jer 8:7 NKJV

Even the stork in the heavens Knows her appointed times; And the turtledove, the swift, and the swallow Observe the time of their coming.

After talking to me about His timing today, the Lord told me a joke!  I worked several hours on the computer and when I was done I was very weary as I had stayed up too late to get it done. I glanced at my calendar and it was the Family Circus comic where Jeffy was putting on his boots. He said, “Grandma says, “If you want to leave footprints in the sands of time, you have to put on work boots!”
