GETTING READY TO PLANT NEW SEEDS

7/13/22 GETTING READY TO PLANT NEW SEEDS

VISION: I saw that I was waiting for something. Then I saw a bunch of people in a line coming towards me. I saw they had been on a long journey and they appeared rugged and tired. But their countenances were quite happy to be so close to “home.” They all had farming tools in their hands. Leading them was a boy with his dog. The boy had a shovel on his shoulder carrying it like a rifle. He was going to plant seed.

Isaiah 2:2-5 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 And he shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 5 O house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

This year is a sabbath rest year and in those years they did not plant seeds, but lived on past harvests. When I pondered that at the beginning of the year I thought am I not supposed to give Words for a whole year? I didn’t like that at all! I discovered that He has given me daily Words that connected with the past, and I have been well fed. He has also given me Words to share that is like repurposing into a new recipe. He has creative ways to give us the rest we need!

Anyway I have pondered this vision. I had the sense that this was about the next season coming, where this line of people were almost there – almost to the place where they will planting need seeds for a new harvest. I am really looking forward to this new year. I have a lot of hope in my heart.

The Hebraic new year starts next month, on Rosh Hashanah and this year the date falls on 9/25/22.

PRAYER:  Lord thank You for the hope of a new season.  Thank You that You have many wonderful seeds of Your Word and promises to plant into the ground. We pray that we will be faithful to tend Your Words in keeping them, watering them with prayer, and enjoying the maturation of them coming into the full fruitfulness.
