HE SPEAKS THROUGH WHAT WE PRAY

While in the shower, I prayed, “Thank You Lord for a home run!” I had no idea why I prayed that, it just popped out of my mouth! When I sought the Lord about it, I turned in my Bible to ‘The answer of the tongue is from the Lord.’ Then I found out a friend had prayed away the fears of a dying man, who consequently died in peace. The Lord told her the man had hit a home run. My prayer was a confirmation to her.
I have often been in a prayer meeting and hear someone praying the Words I heard the Lord speak to me. These times are precious confirmations to me, as well as confirmations that the Lord fills our mouth with His Words.
Listen to what you pray – there will be times when without forethought, you will pray the Holy Spirit’s desire. Something simply pops out of your mouth which you never expected or thought. Listen to those times and receive them as the understanding of what the Lord’s will is concerning that issue.
PRAYING IN TONGUES
Do you pray in tongues? Praying in tongues is also a time when He fills your mouth. When the Lord fills your mouth to pray, it can be in your language or in other languages of men and angels. You might start with the first few words that pop into your mind, but once you start, the flood gates open and words begin to pour out. You pray mysteries, but you pray according to God’s will.
Rom 8:26-27 NKJV
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
One day while I was speaking in tongues the Lord gave me the instant interpretation of 3 of my words in a particular phrase. I immediately said, “Uh oh…” I was stunned and He had my attention. Those words were: “Training. Error. Correction.”
Right at the turn of that year I had been hearing that we had entered a new year of training. The Lord wanted to train us or teach us. I was excited about being trained in new giftings and at that time He immediately starting teaching me in new gifts so I knew I had understood the season. However later when I heard those 3 little words, “Training, error and correction” it put a greater perspective to the word “training.” In one short week I felt like I had been put through a blender and turned on high for a crash course.
During that week, I passed by a sign outside a neighborhood church. It was obvious from the scaffolding and workers that they were in the midst of construction and enlargement. The sign read, “Lord, please turn this mess into a message!” It made me chuckle and I identified with the concept that sometimes when we are in the process of growing into spiritual promotions that it can look like a mess. The next day I was feeling that the blender had been turned up even higher. As I passed the same sign again, the Holy Spirit nudged me to turn around and look at the other side. It said, “Lord please turn this test into a testimony!” I thought about those signs and prayed, “OK Lord, what is Your message through all of this? This is obvious a test from You, so please help me pass it and learn from it so I never have to repeat it again!”
After a lot of prayer, changes in attitude, choices, and mercy from Him, I felt the blender had stopped and I was coming out the other side a lot smoother.
It is during these times, that our trust in the Holy Spirit to pray through us according to God’s will, is a strong comfort. When we have prayer that lines up with His will, we are assured to come out victorious on the other side of a trial.

My favorite testimony about the power of a corporate body speaking in tongues is from a Graham Cooke tape. He is from England. He shared about one particular family in his church that was under attack. The husband and 2 sons were out of work, the wife and daughter were sick, and the husband and wife relationship was very strained. They gathered the whole congregation of 400 people into this family’s house just prior to 8:00 PM. Every person that could possibly squeeze in that little home was crammed in. The only place for Graham was to sit on the toilet! The people that couldn’t fit circled around the outside of the house.
The instructions were that at exactly 8:00 everyone was to speak in tongues non-stop for one hour! Devils were out of there in a hurry! Repentance came, the man was instantly healed of addictions, relationships were instantly healed, both women were healed of their sickness, and the 3 guys had jobs in less than a week. Their lives were never the same. Graham said that he really believes in the commitment of “one for all and all for one.” He said that if the devil kicks one family, then he has taken on the whole church.
