The Lord Who Provides
| THE LORD WHO PROVIDES

One of my favorite stories about God being our Heavenly Father is when my husband was out of work. He had an opportunity to work overseas for 6 months for very good pay, but it was a dangerous job and he would also have to leave me and our baby behind. We lived on our savings for 18 months and did not want him to have to take that job unless he had to. We had saved just enough for his airplane ticket one way. When our savings dwindled down to that week, he suddenly received 2 job interviews! He accepted one of them and worked there until he retired.
What amazed me about that time is that I felt SO guilty every time we spent money on anything outside of necessities… like for instance McDonald’s ice cream cones! After he was hired I realized that our Heavenly Papa paid for every ice cream cone and had taken them all into account! He is our perfect Father Who loves to give us good gifts, just because He loves us! He is truly Jehovah Jireh, the “Lord Who provides!”
Luke 11:13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Gen 22:14 NKJV And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.”
