Names of God
[Text Version]
THE NAMES OF GOD
Prov 18:10 NKJV
The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
The first thing we do when we meet someone is learn their name. A name is a part of a person’s identity that says they are unique and special. In Scripture, the meaning of names refers to the nature, character, attribute or even the purpose and destiny of the person.

- Choose 3 names in the above list and ponder their meaning.
- Think about what God has given you that relates to that definition of Who He is.
- Be grateful for Who He is and say His names back to Him as an intimate part of your loving Him.
EXAMPLE: Lord I am so very grateful that You are Jehovah Shammah! You are always with me, You never leave me. You will never ever abandon Me! You are utterly faithful to stick with me and love me! Nothing can separate me from Your love. Thank You, thank You, thank You!
