SPENDING TIME IN GOD’S WORD

8/12/24 SPENDING TIME IN GOD’S WORD

HEARD: Many are the steps of the righteous. I am traveling with you in your new beginnings. A new beginning is a new start with a new perspective after graduation.

Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way.

I saw a Bible study printout with pink boxes at the bottom of page that would be filled out. The page was something I could make in my page layout software. What would be filled out were little summary nuggets of wisdom regarding the topic of FAITH. I saw I was holding beautiful translucent colored stones and turning them over to see all sides of their beauty.

PRAYER: Lord I earnestly desire to know the deeper levels of Your Word. Please bring me the beauty of revealing the hidden and secret things in Your Word.

I heard Him respond, Trust the process. The Word of the Lord is tried 7 times. If anyone lacks wisdom let him ask God for He is gives liberally.

The process is that you need to meditate and then search out what is quickened, and not just read it for knowledge.

Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tested in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally, and reproaches not; and it shall be given him.

BENEFITS OF KNOWING GOD’S WORD

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of one’s own interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

It helps me to:

  • Learn Who God is
  • Know His plan
  • Understand His will for me
  • To work / partner with Him.
  • To pray
  • Know the warnings to stay pure.
  • To become like Him.
  • Understand how He works with man.
  • Wash my thoughts, motives and will.
  • Receive comfort.
  • Become strengthened.
  • Build a foundation for my life
  • Know and keep boundaries for living safely.
  • Overcome hindrances
  • Be reassured and settled
  • Receive guidance
  • Stand and be stable in Him
  • Have healthy relationships
  • Build up my faith
  • Be corrected when I need it
  • Be equipped for righteous living.

I found an audio Bible App that I like the speed at which he speaks and his voice inflections. This is helping me get through some of the OT that I have skipped reading through in the past.

For the Old Testament, It is You Version APP. For part of the Bible it is NLT, the dramatized version. I read along in my NLT art Bible. It is easier to understand with all the weird names, etc. Then with the rest of the Bible I prefer NKJV.

8/05/24 HE IS MY BREAD

FUN: I turned to Bread of Life verse and said to Him, Lord You are my Bread. Then I turned to the OT and the page had a sticky note that says: Lord You and Your Word are my Bread! Amen thank You Lord for feeding me with Yourself.

8/11/24 WORD STUDY: STAYING IN HIS WORD AND PRAYER

ACTS CHAPTER 6:1-7: I was reading Act chapter 6 this morning. And 2 things leaped out at me:

Acts 6:2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reasonable that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

I was impacted by the word “leave.” It means to forsake or leave! You cant do 2 things at one time. I am reminded that Bobby heard the Lord tell him that He detested multitasking. He was specifically talking about focus.

One thing have I desired for my life and that is to dwell in the Lord’s house all the days of my life. I want to see His face and seek Him.

Psalm 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.

8/18/24 INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY

RESEARCH: Last night I studied the Inductive Method of Bible Study. Then I tried it out on 2 past studies I did this week. When I went back to bed, I saw kitty on her heated pad and she was licking her paws and heard Finger licking good.

WHAT IS INDUCTIVE?

Taking a section of scripture, starting with specific and moving to general in order to draw a conclusion.

  • Specific
  • General
  • Conclusion

7/16/24 THE THEMES IN BIBLE MARKING BASED IN THE LORD’S PRAYER

REVELATION: I have been praying into and searching the Lord about prayer. Jesus gave us His most important topics to pray over in the Lord’s prayer. I had a revelation to view most scriptures through the most important topics that Jesus emphasized. I could see there are massive amount of scriptures that connect to those main topics. I decided to assign colors to each main topic in the Lord’s prayer, and add sticky dots for easy search and decrees alongside of the pages, and then match the marked scripture with the same colors. I am loving this for my new study and decree Bible!

EXAMPLE OF STICKY DOT THEMES

Blue dot connects with the Attributes of God, Who He is.  On the far left side.

Green dot: Connects with the passages highlighted in green about His providing for us.

Gold dot:  About His mercy.

Red dot;  About His deliverance.

Orange:  About growing up into maturity in the Lord.

COLORS ASSIGNED

The colors are used for marking, circling, boxing, bulleting, underlining scriptures and topics for decreeing the Word of the Lord. I bought matching colored sticky dots from Amazon and they are long the right side of the pages that are marked. They have become very hard and easy to find topics for prayer and encouragement.

7/20/24 CONFIRMATION TO PRAYING THEMES FROM THE LORD’S PRAYER

This morning I turned with anointed hands to one scripture and used it to pray over America and her internal enemies and delivering us from evil. I next turned to the first page of the NT which has always represented a new beginning to me. On that page was a graphic for the Lord’s Prayer. It was a confirmation that the themes and colors I had chosen were correct, according to the Lord’s prayer.

Luke 11:1-4 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2 And he said unto them, When you pray, say, Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
