Turkey in a Bag
THANKSGIVING PARABLE: TURKEY IN THE BAG
I always cook my turkey in a bag. I put the turkey in the bag and then into the oven it goes. In the bag gives much, much more gravy and the meat is tender and moist and falls off the bone. Cooking in the bag takes a few hours off cooking so I don’t have to get up in the dark to put the turkey in the oven! Cooking in a bag reminds me of the scripture in Ps 139 where He has beset us. The Hebrew word for beset means to be enclosed in a bag. Ps 139:5 KJV Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Ps 139:5 AMP You have beset me and shut me in — behind and before, and You have laid Your hand upon me.
GOD’S LOVE LETTER TO YOU: SURROUNDED BY MY CAREFUL TENDING Isa 28:25,28 A farmer plants His seeds—black cumin, cumin, wheat, barley, and emmer wheat—each in its proper way, and each in its proper place. Just like a chef, the farmer knows just what to do, for God has given him understanding. Grain for bread is easily crushed, so he doesn’t keep on pounding it. The Lord is a wonderful teacher of chefs and farmers, and He gives them great wisdom.
