Last night I saw the date April 4. I did my morning devotions without knowing what April 4 was about. My morning Devotions was a wonderful confirmation to that!
AM DEVOTIONS: FOCUS UPWARD
HEARD: After graduating. Moving into higher things. I saw a braided rope going upwards to the sky. That represents clinging to Him (like the vine and waiting upon Him) with my aim, climb and focus on the Lord. When I pondered that, wondering how to climb higher I heard, Overcoming distractions.
IDEAS ON OVERCOMING DISTRACTIONS
- Set aside a dedicated time to be with Him.
- Expect Him to meet me there.
- No entertainment, emails, notifications.
- Set all else aside. The world, cares, worries.
- Make a to-do list.
- Do one thing at a time, not multitask.
- Keep a routine schedule and take breaks to de-stress.
- Connect with Him every day.

STICKER FUN! GET HIS PERSPECTIVE
Today as I was flipping through a sticker book for today’s journal page, I heard You graduated as my eye landed on a sticker of a roof with a sky background. The angle of the camera must have been from below, looking up at a roof and sky. I smiled because last week I watched several tutorials on PERSPECTIVE and I practiced drawing roof lines for buildings.
This is His parable that He is wanting me to look up and have His way of thinking. The battle field is in my mind and how I “see” things.
Col 3:1-3 If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
GREEK: SET YOUR AFFECTIONS
Setting my affections on things above is to exercise what I entertain in my opinions, concerns and interest. The Greek word comes from a word meaning to reign in, carb, restrain.
CONFIRMATION: As I studied the above verse, I saw the sticker graphic of the roof and sky was a picture of seeking what is above. The vanishing point / eye line was UP and only the peak of the roof and sky was visible in the graphic!
