OUR LITTLE OFFERINGS TO THE LORD – EVEN THE LITTLE PRAYERS

10/01/24 OUR LITTLE OFFERINGS TO THE LORD – EVEN THE LITTLE PRAYERS

HEARD AND SAW:

After my simple morning devotions I went back to bed feeling so small and ineffective in my simple prayers in my journal. Lord does it even make a difference?

Following through just as it was written. You have angels sweet one. That’s why it matters what you say. Even in your weakest moments they heed your prayers. You have your authority no matter how weak you are. Even your understanding helps.

LITTLE TREASURES UNTO THE LORD

I saw my son come to me and open his hand to me. In his palm were tiny little treasures offered to the Lord. I saw a tiny little sea shell, a little stone, a gemstone, a ring, a little broach, and other little special treats. I opened my palm to receive them on behalf of the Lord. They were so very precious to me to see these. I wanted to keep one of them as a token for myself not because I wanted what he was offering, but because they were so precious to me as representing my son’s heart to the Lord. Ofcourse I would never keep one as they were offered to the Lord. Then he showed me this tiny little toy house with an inside wall that was a mirror. When I peered inside, I saw myself in the mirror. I felt the Lord was showing me that is how HE feels when we offer our tiny little tokens of prayer to Him and we feel so insignificant in comparison to the need. He treasures what we give in partnership with Him because of who we are to Him.

Romans 12:8 Or he that exhorts, on exhortation: he that gives, let him do it in simplicity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Deuteronomy 16:17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you.

CONFIRMATION: ONE LITTLE TREASURE

Today as I was preparing lunch, I watched a little squirrel with a large bushy tail. He was trying to bury his little oak nut in my fresh and fluffy garden bed. Yesterday I put 2 layers of bird netting on top so Baby Kitty would not use it as a potty bed. I watched the squirrel scamper back and forth over the netting and he didn’t like that so he jumped off. I watched him go from place to place in our yard seeking a place to plant his nut. Finally he went straight for the back raised planter that also has fresh soft dirt in it but without netting. He hopped up with ease and all I could see was his fluffy tail bouncing back and forth as he dug a hole to bury his little treasure. Last spring I found a sprouted oak nut in the other raised planter. I wondered how that could have happened. Now I know!
