10/07/25 STRETCHING JUST ENOUGH TO GROW

HEARD: Sanctifying hearts. A bit of a stretch. Help you loosen up. Not much, just enough to grow.

I heard this after praying into 5786 / 2026 which is the year of the tent peg.

Isaiah 54:2 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations: spare not, lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.

10/18/25: This is the year of stretching our tent pegs towards enlargement. Most would interpret that as a promotion of what they are already doing. However there is another application that the Lord has been emphasizing to me in regards to my position in my authority, my calling and how that plays out in the spiritual realm. He has significantly “stretched” me in those areas this month!

He has been speaking very clearly to me and helping me to see why I have resisted when He has brought these things up in the past. As I study these things (through scripture and my personal rhema) I am being stretched in a way that I am able to align with His truth regarding who He says I am in the spiritual realm. My stretching this month has been like loosening up a hindrance from to an old childhood mindset. The stretching is like pulling a weed back and forth until I finally yield and let go of it!!!

So this year when you consider this year 5786/ 2026 is the year of the tent peg, reconsider that applying His desire to stretch your boundaries also has to do with your mindsets, opinions and ways of thinking about yourself that do not line up with what He says.

When He stretches us in this way, it is for the purpose of bringing us into full maturity so we may fulfill His purposes while we are on earth.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
