TO FIND HIS QUIET REST

This is one of the times when the Lord to me through hearing a song. He does this when He brings the lyrics of a song into my mind and they repeat over and over again throughout a day. In hindsight, the year 2020 was a year of forced rest for many.  He desired for us to use that time to refocus on settling into Him and recover healthy habits at home.  The word REST was definitely a buzz word for 2020.  In my database, I found I had used the word over 300 times in 2020.

6/07/20 TO FIND HIS QUIET REST

Today I keep hearing the song, there is a place of quiet rest. Near to the heart of God.

There is a place of quiet rest,
Near to the heart of God,
A place where sin cannot molest,
Near to the heart of God.

O Jesus, blest Redeemer,
Sent from the heart of God,
Hold us, who wait before Thee,
Near to the heart of God.

There is a place of comfort sweet,
Near to the heart of God,
A place where we our Savior meet,
Near to the heart of God.

There is a place of full release,
Near to the heart of God,
A place where all is joy and peace,
Near to the heart of God.

12/11/11 QUOTE NEVILLE JOHNSON

Making the Lord your Refuge is the Key to this Protection Dwelling in the presence of God is the secret. The secret place of the Most High is a place where you live in the manifest presence of God. The manifest presence of God is the kind of presence that is felt. The Lord is always with us, that is His promise, but we need to feel His presence with us and relate to Him as a friend. As the songwriter wrote: “ There is a place of quiet rest near to the heart of God”. God was well able to take care of the children of Israel in the wilderness, how much more can He take care of you? To know God is your highest calling, and we all must press into knowing God in a way that we never have before.

1/03/20 TO RE-TRAIN YOUR FOCUS

HEARD:  Righteous remnant. A settling point. Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.  Retrain habits. Refocus. Return to your resting place.

Psalm 116:6-9 The LORD preserves the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. 7 Return unto your rest, O my soul; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. 8 For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. 9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

RETURN TO YOUR RESTING PLACE 5/19/05

Are you desperate to hear Me, My love? It is only as your heart, body, soul and spirit are at rest that you will be able to find that deep place of peace to connect with Me. It is there when all striving is set aside and all is still that you know without a doubt that I have spoken.

When confusion comes, return to your last Word which was the most prominent and anchored with confirmation. Then you will be able to stand and say, “God said.” You will be able to hang on without doubt and without wavering. My Words are your resting place. I AM your resting place. Return to Me, dear one. If you can not find Me where you are, then remember where you last found Me. Return and we will move forward together into a new place and seasoned with great grace.

“The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling. I will walk before the LORD In the land of the living.” (Ps 116:6-9 NKJV)
