6/29/21 CROSSING OVER INTO YOUR LAND OF PROMISES
Last night’s rhema had one message and so I will share all the pieces including the background.
Yesterday I woke up having gained 3 pounds of water weight from eating sugar free, low carb ice cream on a 111 degree hot day – during a heat wave week. When I woke up I felt really yucky. Prior to that I had lost sleep 2 nights in a row due to heat so I had taken sleeping med and I felt really sluggish and oppressed when I woke.
So yesterday morning I told the Lord how bad I felt and didn’t think I could stay faithful to my new routine. I heard Him say, I will give you grace. And so I followed through on my morning walk, counting carbs and being faithful to do my daily goals. But I struggled with wanting to eat every carb under the sun all day and I was just exhausted by last night in my soul. There was so much gravity against me yesterday in mind, body and will power I didn’t think I could stick to it. So after such a hard day, in the middle of the night I told the Lord I needed more help because I was just too low and didn’t think I could keep going if the future was going to be that difficult. I felt old and tired and simply exhausted for trying so hard and so long. Next thing I knew I had rhema from Him helping me to see the spiritual circumstances I was going through.
I dreamed I was at a party and the host invited me to think a famous character that made me laugh and share it with others. I thought that scripture says laughter is good medicine and I wondered if she meant a movie, but it had been too long since I had seen those in my youth and couldn’t think of anyone. I then thought of Sarah in the Bible who was given a promise from the Lord in her old age. Her human ability to fulfill that promise made her laugh. When the promise came to pass, she named it laughter. (Her son Isaac.) Still in the dream, I remembered that pain of childbirth becomes so hard there is a time when you want to quit, but you don’t have a choice you have to continue. I remembered this scripture:
John 16:21 A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour has come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
Right after the dream I had a vision where I saw 2 men crossing over a river. I was following them. I looked down at their feet and noticed they were both walking on top of the water and since they could do it, I followed their example keeping my eyes on their feet. The water was smooth and still and we kept going.
When about 12 feet from the other side I took my eyes off their feet (!!!) and looked up river and saw a very tiny little bit of moving white water and wondered if they were still able to stay on top of the water even though it was tad more difficult than still water. But I did not see them and immediately noticed I was swimming very strongly, as though with all my will against the current. There was a lady on the rock above me urging me to keep going. She was smiling beautifully and not concerned but I was swimming with every bit of strength I had in me. Next thing I knew I was standing on dry land and exclaimed “Oh the Mckenzie river, I LOVE you! I am home!”
Next I saw I had a large pile of WELCOME HOME mats in my arms. I noticed they were not piled up neatly like a new deck of cards, but rather every which way after gathering them before they are all lined up.
Laughter is good medicine: The Lord has been bringing me on a journey of healing my soul so that eventually my body can follow suit. For too many years I ignored my body and soul, focusing only on spiritual things. In my body and my soul, I ended up losing a lot of my freedom to live an abundant life as the Lord has promised us all. I have felt too old to be able to recover what I have lost in my health. He has been urging me and helping me find a balanced life for body, soul and spirit.
3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The name McKenzie means fair, comely, good looking. I have lost the dew of my youth. But the Lord promises His power will come and birth within us the beauty of a holy life and new beginning where we will experience the refreshment of our youthful days.
Psalm 110:3 Your people shall be willing in the day of your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: you have the dew of your youth.
Angels: I thought that angels never lead us, rather they follow after us. But when I asked the Lord, He immediately brought this one to mind:
Acts 12:8-9 And the angel said unto him, Gird yourself, and bind on your sandals. And so he did. And he said unto him, Cast your garment about you, and follow me. 9 And he went out, and followed him; and knew not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
Quickened: Peter lost his freedom. The angel led him out of prison. Peter had to get up, fasten his belt and put on his walking shoes.
Walking on water: That is our faith in following the Lord’s example. I remember when the Lord told the disciples to cross the sea and go to the other side. Their boat was tossed by the waves and the wind so Jesus came to them walking on the water. Peter got out of the boat and walked on water to meet Jesus. He was fine until he had his focus on the boisterous wind, became afraid then began to sink. Jesus caught him mentioning his faith and doubting which means to waver.
Matthew 14:22 And immediately Jesus made his disciples get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
Matthew 14:24-32 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be you, bid me come unto you on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter came down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt? 32 And when they came into the ship, the wind ceased.
WORD TO PONDER: CROSSING OVER INTO YOUR LAND OF PROMISES 6/29/21
Precious one, all of heaven is watching you overcome as you cross over into the land of your promises. Contrary to your mindsets, you are NOT too old to change, and not too old to come into the promises I have set before you. Yes it is a new life in a new land and I AM strengthening your faith to be able to fully occupy it once you have arrived.
I have sent angels before you to calm and still the waters before you so that you cross over safely. You have made wonderful progress! When you begin to experience the currents and gravity going against you, press in with all your will – body soul, mind, spirit. Do not let the resistance against you cause you to let go and quit. Don’t focus on your circumstances, focus on Me and My Word. Keep your eye on the prize. Guard your faith, resist anything that causes you to waver.
I AM sending you encouragement to keep going, keep advancing into your new land. You can DO this dear one! Yes you are enduring hardness like a good solider as you war against your present state of existence. I AM strengthening and encouraging you to keep going! I AM not a man that I would lie. I have said it, I will do it. I have spoken it, I will make it good.
When you have crossed over into your new land, you will have great joy! We will throw a party to welcome you into your new abiding place. Laughter and joy will return to your life precious one. You shall have your freedom return in full measure, in body, mind, soul and spirit. You shall live to experience My power, the beauty of living a holy life, the freshness of a new day and the springing forth of youthful strength and energy.
Psa 110:3 AMP Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You [will spring forth] Your young men, who are as the dew.
