God Honors Free Will

Our awesome God is so huge and so powerful and yet He chose to yield His rights of controlling men’s choices by giving us free will. Free will to choose is a spiritual law, which He set for His own limitations.  It is His very nature to give man freewill because He wants volunteer lovers.  If He forced anyone, then it would be a puppet life with no relationship.  Because He is Love, honoring free will is Who He is.

God could force people to love Him, but that would take the real gift of love away.  All of heaven and earth and hell are submitted to the principle of free will. Free will was there from the beginning and satan took 1/3 of heaven with him.  Just like us, He wants a real family, not one where one third will betray Him.  We are on earth to be tested by our free will, because eternity is a long, long time.  Never again will there be a revolt in heaven.

James 1:13-15 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

Rev 22:11 AMP  He who is unrighteous (unjust, wicked), let him be unrighteous still; and he who is filthy (vile, impure), let him be filthy still; and he who is righteous (just, upright, in right standing with God), let him do right still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still. [Dan 12:10.]

SUCH A GREAT COST TO GIVE FREE WILL

God made Adam free and give him a voice
He laid down His power to grant free choice.
God walked with Adam and gave him access
Talking, sharing, waiting for Adam’s “yes.”
Through His great power, by force He could take.
With His great love, He yielded for their sake.
In the garden, He would not interfere.
He gave free choice for willing volunteers.

Throughout these years of mankind’s history
God’s heart travails an enflamed mystery.
He pursues our lives with such passionate love.
Yet waits for entrance as the gentle Dove.
Bowing His ear low, He’s so sensitive
Hearing our desires, if we’re receptive.
He yearns as He waits for our permission.
With circled groaning for our decision.

His intense love is constrained persuasion
Lest He overtake us by invasion.
With great restraint He will not use His force
To rule our life with pressuring coerce.
God knows the cost of honoring free will
Continued this day, He suffers it still.
One third of His creatures fell to the earth
Refused His love, dishonored what he birthed.

He may seek us and be inquisitive.
But only wants what were willing to give.
He makes sure we really know He is there.
So we will receive what He has to share.
He suffers long, through wavering so-so’s.
Til He’s convinced that we really mean no.
God’s deepest travail is that He does wait
For mutual desire to relate.

John 17:21 NKJV
… that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us…

WORD TO PONDER:  A LINE OF DEMARCATION FOR VOLUNTEER LOVERS

My love is unconditional and I only want volunteers who will love Me in return. I will not demand another’s love for I only want those who will love Me of their own free wills. But the time is short and I am about to bring in My great harvest. Many loved ones are yet lost, presently destined for an eternity away from Me. I love them so much, that I will go to great lengths to bring them in.

By My mercy, I suffer long with the rebellions of the world. I call and call and they do not hear. I give them good gifts from My bountiful mercy and they do not heed. So now I will turn My face and still in love I will give them great tribulation so that some will turn through suffering. And some will heed the earnest warnings and come in under the wings of My loving embrace.

A dividing line of demarcation is coming between those of My own and those of the world. The cities will see some who are miserable and some living in joy. Some men’s hearts will fail them for fear. Other’s men’s heart will beat and skip in passion over Me. For I call them My own, spotless and without fault when they stand before Me. It is because I have washed and cleansed My own through My Son’s precious blood. They know My love and it has proven unconditional, no matter what.

Beloved, you are My own and I have made you altogether lovely and whole and I see not even a blemish. Accept My Son’s blood for you, and accept that before My eyes, you are pure as the fresh fallen snow. I love you with an everlasting love. Know that when men’s hearts fail them for fear, that yours is safe with Me.

“So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while punishing the wicked right up until the day of judgment.” (2 Peter 2:9-10 NLT)

ASSIGNMENT

Embrace in your own life that God honors your personal boundaries for how much you really want Him. He gives you as much of Himself that you really desire of Him. But He also wants you to embrace Who He really is based on what He says in scripture.

Accept all of Him
Give Him all of you
Expect your life to change for good
Honor the free will of others, just as you would want them to treat you.
