KEPT AND PRESERVED THROUGH THE YEAR 2021

I remember when Bob Jones was told by the Lord that the Word for the year was the matching Psalms number.

For this new year, 2021, the theme or buzz word that stands out in Psalm 121 is the Hebrew word Shawmar which is repeated 4 times.  It means He will encircle us with His hedge of protection, He will guard, preserve, save us in our comings and goings from this time forevermore!

Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary
8104. שָׁמַר shamar (shâmar)
Search for H8104 in KJVSL; in KJV.

שָׁמַר shâmar, shaw-mar’

a primitive root; properly, to hedge about (as with thorns), i.e. guard; generally, to protect, attend to, etc.:—beward, be circumspect, take heed (to self), keep(-er, self), mark, look narrowly, observe, preserve, regard, reserve, save (self), sure, (that lay) wait (for), watch(-man).

verb

·             Psalm 121:5A The LORD is your keeper:

·             Psalm 121:7 The LORD shall preserve you from all evil:

·             He shall preserve your soul.

·             Psalm 121:8 The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Psalm 121:1-8 I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from which comes my help. 2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved: he that keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD is your keeper: the LORD is your shade upon your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD shall preserve you from all evil: he shall preserve your soul. 8 The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

This Hebrew word Shamar is also used in one of my favorite scriptures where He besets us. I have so much rhema about Him encircling us in His bubble! I am reminded of a baby being surrounded and carried inside the womb.  In the year 2021 He will carry us and surround us, no matter what goes on around us.  We will be safely carried, preserved, and kept through it all.

Psalm 139:5-16 You have hedged me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. 7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hides not from you; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to you. 13 For you have formed my inward parts: you have covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are your works; and that my soul knows right well. 15 My frame was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes did see my substance, being yet unformed; and in your book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

When I re-read Psalm 139, this verse leaped out at me as well and I realize this is His Word to us for 2021:

Psalm 139:12 Yea, the darkness hides not from you; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to you.

11/06/20 DAY AND NIGHT IS THE SAME TO ME

My Beloved.  What’s the difference between day and night?  Immediately I remembered Psalm 139.  It’s all the same to Me.  I am with you.

Take heed.  I am maturing you.  Simply calm yourself and be still.  There is a way through this.

Psalm 139:11-12 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hides not from you; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to you.

Psalm 121:3 He will not allow your foot to be moved: he that keeps you will not slumber.

verb

WORD TO PONDER:  I AM KEEPING YOU DAY AND NIGHT 11/06/20

Precious child, let go of all anxiety that causes unrest.  Simply calm yourself and be still.  I AM there with you.  Stand and do not waver.  Whether you see or don’t see what I AM say or doing, I am always with you dear one.  Irregardless of the times you live, whether deep darkness or bright clearings, I AM still God. I see all, know all and nothing escapes My attention.  I guard, protect, and preserve you.  I attend to your needs because you belong to Me.  Rest in the fact that I AM your God, and I belong to you, just as you belong to Me.  Be still and know that I AM your God.
