11/11/23 RAKING LEAVES

PARABLE: Today when my WALKING reminder popped onto my screen I remembered what I had decided yesterday. Yesterday when I walked, I experienced how slippery it was underneath the small tree and the bigger one across the street. The whole street was covered in fallen leaves and there was no place to walk safely. They were very wet and slippery. I thought yesterday that I might rake instead of walking today. So I raked a safer path for me to walk. I had to stop several times for a few moments but I got it done. It was quickened to me as a parable. I would rake one step in front of me, then take one step forward. It was as though I was moving an inch at a time on my daily walk.

The other thing that was quickened to me is that the leaves were from past season. That season is OVER. Do not let what died from the past trip you up in your daily walk in Him! Let your thoughts be upon Him, not upon the dead things now gone. It is time to sweep away the old and make your pathway in the Lord clean, simple and accessible for progress. You don’t have to carry the past anymore. Just sweep it aside and let the Lord harvest the fruit as He desires. He will use everything together for His good purposes. Let Him do that and don’t give up. Keep going.

Today I heard Him say to me, There are many ways to bridge the gap. You ARE making progress.

Sometimes progress may feel like an inch at a time, but no matter what He has called us overcomers.

9/19/23 HEARD:  To clear the path.  Do not shrink back.  Keep pressing in.  I will meet you there.

10/09/22 :  Fueled by love and passion for Me.   Clear the path and keep going.  They inherit from your efforts.

SWEEP THE PAST SEASON ASIDE AND EMBRACE HIS NEW PURPOSE FOR YOU

This morning I had decorated my daily devotions with a sticker of a bridge and wrote: Bridging the Gap through Faith, Hope and Love. I spent time praying for my children to be given grace to find the Lord’s purpose for them in this new season, because the season has changed. It is not necessarily finding the Lord’s season, but the finding their individual purpose in how they fit in His new season. He told me He desires to solidify and establish us in His purpose because we are in a new place and need it to become stable and solid. That comes from confirmations and reinforcing His message to us personally. Rake away the past and embrace what He has purposed for you NOW.  Take time to find out what that is.

Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
