11/08/23 WILL BEAR FRUIT IN OLD AGE

I was thinking about previous rhema of people going through tumbleweed type circumstances and being tossed to and fro. I was also praying for all the Peters who were so sifted through bitter disappointment that they left their callings and returned to old life. I know the Lord will call them to return by His fire and warmth of His love. And then I heard:

HEARD: Planted in the house of your God. Fruit bearing. Much fruit.

CONFIRMATION SCRIPTURE: I knew there was a scripture about being planted in God’s house. Not only is there one, but it also promises bearing fruit in our old age! What a lovely gift!! WE have a good future in Him.

Psalm 92:13-14 Those that are planted (transplanted) in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be healthy and flourishing;

FRUIT

Luke 1:42 And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.

John 15:4-5 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.

John 15:8 In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples.

John 15:16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, self-control: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

CONFIRMATION UPDATE TODAY: BOBBY CONNER

You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you.” John 15:16

APPLICATION: The only way we can bear fruit in our old age is to continue to cling to the Lord. As we cling to Him through our days, He gives us the substance to produce the fruits of the Spirit which are Christ-like character. This brings Him pleasure to watch us triumph through our trials and change into His image. Fruit grows slow enough that it needs time to notice results. Even after it is there, it needs time to ripen with age. The Lord has preserved some fruit to ripen only in our old age. We never stop growing and changing to look like Him. I am reminded of His promise that He saved the best wine to the last!

John 2:10 And said unto him, Every man at the beginning does set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but you have kept the good wine until now.
