Short Bread

SHORT BREAD

One of the ways God speaks is through filling our mouths with His Words.  The Bible promises us that that He will fill our mouths with His Words and give us what to say.

Psalm 81:10B …Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Mat 10:19B, 20  …Don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. God will give you the right words at the right time.  For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. 

As I was putting my toast in the toaster today, I suddenly remembered when the bread man in the grocery isle handed me a loaf because his loading cart was in the way.  When I put a piece of bread in the toaster I noticed that the bread was shorter than usual.  This bread is diet bread and I wondered if they changed the size on purpose or if it baked differently this time.

I said to myself, “Man I really got the short end of the stick!”  As soon as I thought that I knew it was the Lord speaking to me through my mouth!  This week I have been creating comics for ABC Heaven Comics for children. God is making short bread for our little short people! Smiles.

When I bought my next loaf of bread and opened it, I noticed that the bread was back to normal size.  I wondered if the Lord baked that last short bread just to encourage me!  I smiled as I thought about my piece of short bread for children and knew He spoke to me.
