The Process of Revelation
THE PROCESS OF REVELATION
COLOR UPON COLOR
I have been working full time on updating the QW School, How God Speaks and getting it ready for the harvest. Last night as I was praying I saw a vision of the 3 primary colors and smiled thinking about primary school. The primary colors cannot be made by mixing any other colors together, they are foundation colors. All the other colors are created by mixing them together and also adding either white or black to them.
Today as I was looking for a graphic that showed the primary colors, I saw the above one and it was really quickened to me. This is how God speaks to us. He begins by sharing a foundational Word. And after we get the point, He adds new colors to that original Word and we watch it transform with a different perspective of the same Word. This is the nature of His Word, it changes as we grow in revelation and His Word applies to us in a new and fresh way. This is also how we grow in learning the language of interpretation.
Isaiah 28:9-10 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and taken from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.
Another application to this concept is how we learn to prophesy. It starts with a small revelation and as we apply that, He adds a new color or hue and the Word transforms with each layer until the full revelation is made known. This indeed is the process of revelation!
1 Corinthians 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
As I ponder the addition of white and black to change the hues to lighter or darker ones, I saw how the Lord redeems everything in our lives and uses it for good.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
