MY PROCESS OF CONNECTING WITH THE LORD

10/05/23 MY PROCESS OF CONNECTING WITH THE LORD

I saw a red mixer in a kitchen and it had flour on top and I was blowing the flour off of it. [I pondered the mixer and wondered what the tool was for the mixer, as I only saw the top of the mixer. I was thinking about dough tool, the mixing tool, the whisking tool, etc. Lord what is the tool for the mixer?]You! You’re My bread mixer. A little here and a little there. Tasty. Process. What that is. It is a mystery. How you get to where you are.

9/17/23  UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS

Your potential.  What you have access to. Come up higher, you are invited to rise.  You shall know the truth and it shall set you free.  To understand is a great gift. Alignment in partnering with Me. To understand His process.  To be better equipped.

The Lord isnt into formulas that quickly become religion.  But sometimes seeing what someone else does to plug in and connect with the Lord helps.  I have shared a thorough view of the things I do in connecting with the Lord.  I have presented a perfect day in orderly fashion.  But it is usually a mix and match of the following things, depending upon time and His leading.

====================================================================================

HOW I SEEK THE LORD:

ENTERING IN

Scripture says to enter into Him by being thankful and praising Him for His goodness. It also says that when we worship Him, it must be in SPIRIT, in the Gk, that is our breath. Whether I whisper or vocalize, I make sure I use my breath to express my adoration to Him in worship.

Psalm 100:4-5 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

I begin my process of seeking the Lord through my morning walk. I put in my earbuds and have preset Playlists in my itouch. The playlists are divided into different types of worship. Most musicians who lead worship begin their song selection with faster paced music ABOUT Him. It helps loosen people up to express their gratefulness about Who He is. The music is a celebration about Him. Eventually the song choices move into slower paced songs sung directly TO Him. That is when the body has spent itself and hearts are open to pour their love out TO Him. That is when intimacy begins.

My plays lists are divided into bouncy, walker and soaking.

Bouncy: loud, fast Christian praise music with a strong beat. I speak in tongues and walk briskly!

Walker: Not as loud and not as fast. I walk normal pace, sometimes sing along with praises of His goodness. I use my breath when speaking in tongues or singing, whether I make noise or not. I also take my walking time to make decrees over my body and the bodies of my loved ones.

Almost always I do some warfare prayers on my walk. They are militant in binding the demonic off me and my loved ones, and also commanding the demonic porthole to be shut. I loose the angels to go forth unhindered in keeping the demonic porthole closed and the 3rd heaven porthole open. No matter when or where, I always do this BEFORE entering into His secret place. I know I am fully covered and protected by the blood of Jesus before entering in.

Sometimes I dance before the Lord instead of walking. I dance through the house and in our yard. It is very liberating and His Presence is very strong upon me. I still speak in tongues, sing, do take authority and do warfare.

OVER THE THRESHOLD

Soaking: Slow worship songs. Once back home, I agree with the words sung TO Him. They are songs of surrender, adoration and love. My body is tired, I have spent myself in walking praise, tongues and authority.

I invite His Presence to sweep over me as I rest. As I breathe in, I welcome Him. I breathe His Presence in, over and over. If I don’t tangibly feel His Presence sweep over me, then I use my hands. They are anointed with His power. I sweep them over my head, up and down my legs, maybe down each arms. Even over my tummy area. I am not touching my body, but I feel tingles flowing over where my hands sweep. It gives me joy and even makes me giggle when He kisses me back with His Presence. Sometimes it is a strong whoosh, like a wave of His tangible love. Sometimes it is very gentle goosepimples and even warmness. His Presence, if I have soaked in it long enough makes me very relaxed, where all the stress is gone. Most of all my heart is melted and I am very open to His love.

Habakkuk 3:4 And his brightness was as the light; he had rays flashing out of his hand: and there was his power hidden.

OUR SECRET PLACE

By this time I have entered into His secret place for 2 way communion. No music, noise. Still body. All is well.

  1. I welcome. My first prayer is not about me. It is welcoming Him to speak to me. It is my offering myself to Him to share what is on His heart.
  2. Usually when I first offer myself, I welcome Jesus, he Holy Spirit, Abba Daddy, all of heaven to speak to me.  Heaven waits for our permission and so I continue to welcome all of heaven into my life and home.
  3. I listen. Sometimes as soon as I still myself He is speaking, almost as though He can hardly wait. (Sometimes when I go to bed it is as soon as my head hits the pillow.) I don’t have a preconceived agenda in mind. He chooses the topics, I don’t. Always what He says is a surprise, I don’t know what He is going to say or what will follow after that. It is a quiet time of being still and waiting for Him to speak.

There are times where I don’t hear His voice at all. I move into devotional time instead. Sometimes that breaks walls down. Often a wall can be like facing the blank page. Then after a bit of devotions I might try to be still and listen again. Even if I don’t hear Him, as long as the daily ingathering speaks to me and hopefully is confirmed or has a theme throughout, then I am well fed and content. But if His voice is silent, and my search time isnt connecting together, then I press through with tongues more, and even go back to bed to be TOTALLY quiet. He has told me many times that tongues is a key and like priming the pump for His Spiritual waters to flow in hearing and connecting with Him.

  1. I respond. I listen until I don’t hear anything and then I pray about what He said. Sometimes I ask Him a question about what He said. Sometimes I ask His help over what He just said. Sometimes I pray over people and loose angels on assignment over what He said. Sometimes I just cherish what He said and I am silent from a melted and thankful heart.
  2. I request. If I don’t hear anything, I ask Him to bring a scripture to mind. Or ask Him if He wants to SHOW me His Word, instead of SPEAKING His Word. That is when I either see a vision, recall a visual of something (which is not a vision), have an inkling or impression of a visual and/or He brings something He has said in the past onto the front burner. It all comes in graphic form as a moving vision, a photographic picture, or a memory as in picturing something in one’s mind only not by own choice or imagination.
  3. I record. I try to record all His Words via digital recorder, paper, or typing depending upon how easy it was to enter in and His flow on any particular day. If it is harder to enter into hearing Him, I use a recorder and keep my eyes closed with very still and peaceful body, fully supported in my chair or bed. (I always use a recorder at night in bed.)If I am in the mood, and His Words come slower, I use pen and paper. Pen and paper are a very unique experience and more suited to me for a devotional time, which is different than being totally still before Him for a longer period of time. Pen and paper devotional time is more a mix and match of the above and also what is following below.

If I am hearing particularly easy and flowing on day, I switch to typing. I have to be careful with typing. I have typed dictated rhema for 40 years, I type fast. When I write Words to Ponders, they are typed not spoken. I was handed a solid gold pen by Jesus in 1984 and so my writing is inspired. I know the experience of writing under inspiration and I am settled and established in such. He anoints my thoughts with what to write, and it flows. When I get stuck and don’t have anything come to my mind, I wait and then I actually hear His still small voice say a sentence to me and I begin again. Other times, like when I wrote the intercessory poems in 2005 most were one line at a time hearing His voice speak the Words then with additional inspired rhymes coming through my mind.

Because I am so fluent in typing and writing under inspiration and been doing it for so long, I need to pace myself. What that means is that I need to stop and check that what I just heard and typed was coming from His still small voice and not inspiration. I always italicize His voice. I don’t want to italicized inspired thoughts, even if they are His mind and even if He confirms such. His promise to me many years ago was that one day I would not be able to tell the difference between His voice and mine, that we would be so one I just could not separate our thoughts.

If I type directly as I listen, I need to make sure I have waited for each sentence to be a surprise and not anticipated, which is harder when I type too fast. It is a skill I am working on. Why do I need to make a difference when He promised that one day I would not be able separate His voice from inspiration? The simple answer is FAITH. I need to be able to know that I know that know I heard the voice of God and I can take it to the bank. I can stand on it, expect it to come to pass and not enter into battles of the soul and/or demonic that challenge such.

STUDY TIME- A TIME TO SEARCH

Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

  1. Meditate and Ponder. A time to consider and search out that He has said in His Still small voice that morning or from the night before. This is a time to allow His inspiration to guide me – lead my thoughts with His mind. It is expecting Him to give me His perspective. If I am too opinionated, have too many mindsets, soul traumas or bad memories regarding the topic, then it is harder to see His point of view. He has many ways to getting past those and teaching me. But my part is not to wrestle God, but to wrestle myself to stay positive, and not entertain negative thoughts about the topic. When I am at peace about the topic, I find it much easier to ponder it.

  2. Seek Him for cross references. As I re-read what He has spoken, He will bring into memory something He has told me in the past. That is a cross reference that is meant to connect together. Cross references help give a broader, bigger understanding of His message. I rely on Him speaking to me this way a LOT. I am so settled in Him doing this, that if it comes to mind, I know it is Him and what He brought to my mind is included as one Word. I search for those entries in my date base of rhema and include them as an insert.John 14:26 But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
  3. Search for patterns, buzz words, themes, seasons. There are certain Kyros times when God meets His people with more revelation. The appointed feast days are one of them. With that in mind, I know what He is speaking to me is a part of that seasons message. It is not just for the day, or the moment. In other words those Words are announcements of His purpose and what He is focusing on for that season. Some seasons are yearly, some are monthly, others are decades.
  4. Understand Daily Bread. Daily bread is what I need to get through my day. Do I need comfort? Strength? Courage? Faith? Hope? Joy? Health? Correction? Change? Encouragement to continue? Assurance I am on the right path? Reminders of His purpose? Guidance? Understanding? Is He working on my character? How can I comply?Daily bread is a journey of simply walking with Him. He cares for us and the more we seek Him, the more He will show up and we will recognize Him… either recognize Him IN us, or THROUGH us. Both ways we get the joy of knowing we are partnering with Him in a 2 way daily life. The less I seek Him, the less I receive. The less I seek Him, the dryer and more hungry I become. If I miss Him for one day, I am quite miserable.
  5. Inquire of the Lord. I ponder why He brought the message to me. What is His purpose? Where is He going? What is He trying to accomplish? If I don’t understand, I ask Him questions to clarify.
  6. Partnering with Him. I earnestly desire to partner with Him in bringing His kingdom and purposes to earth. I take the time to either believe what He said, or pray about it, or even decree it if I remember. He has told me that my actions of writing His Words down as His scribe ARE decrees and the angels listen and heed the messages and go forth on them. But on important matters I take them to heart and really pray over them.We are to be doers of His Words, not just hearers only. I ask Him how may I partner with Him about the Word? What does He want me to do about it? Pray over it? Share it? Or just type it knowing the angels go forth? Do I write a Word to Ponder regarding its message? Do I post it publicly, or share it privately?

BIBLE TIME: STUDY

I tend to study the Bible verses and contexts rather than fluently reading or listening. When I listen, my mind goes on a detour with inspiration and I get lost. For me, listening is good for night time in the dark before sleep. If I used a Bible app that had yellow highlighting on spoken words I might be better at reading and listening in my morning devotional time.

John Paul Jackson taught that we should read scripture and put ourselves into the picture… using all our senses. He experienced visions and transportations through that developed skill of communion via scripture. I have not developed that, but I would like to.

I use 3 apps for daily verses. If nothing is quickened to me, then I use one of my Bibles with anointed hands. When I find a scripture that is quickened I take it apart and chew.

ANOINTED HANDS (AH): That is when my hands are dedicated to Him for good works and purity. I sit with Him asking Him to lead me and open to the right place. I trust He is using my eyes to glance at the right place on the page. I ponder the area that has caught my attention. If it feels personal to my life, thoughts, prayers, concerns in some way, I pray over it. And then I jot a note down to remember its message or summarize it before going to another scripture. At the end of an anointed hands session I can look over the verses and see if there is an overall message or theme that jumps out at me. Often there is, in regards to what is on my heart.

STUDYING SCRIPTURE

  1. Read the verse
  2. Back up and read the passage
  3. Understand the context
  4. Observe patterns or uniqueness
  5. Open one of my Bible apps with Strongs Heb and Gk.
  6. Check the individual words that leap out at me.
  7. Write their meanings down.
  8. Summarize the verse if it is complicated.
  9. Apply it to my personal life.
  10. Make it a prayer.
  11. I like the SOAP method which is:
    1. Write the Scripture
    2. Observe anything that stands out in the verse or passage.
    3. Apply it to my personal life.
    4. Pray about it.

In my morning devotions, if the incoming daily verses don’t leap out at me, I listen to hear if there is one that comes to mind. If not, I will turn with AH to one, and then I study that verse. Sometimes I specifically turn with anointed hands in my Art Bible in the morning. The pages are filled with every kind of watercolor, pencils, drawings, stickers, washi tape and inserts. The margins are wide with lots of space. I like to do word studies there where I find a verse the leaps out at me, and I pick apart the word in the Heb/ Gk, record its original meaning and then write down cross references of verses using the same Heb/Gk word, especially finding the LOFM, which is Law of 1st Mention, the first time that word is used in scripture. Scholars use LOFM as a precedent in interpreting the rest of scripture.

Other times I will ask the Holy Spirit to bring into remembrance another scripture that connects, or perhaps His rhema Word and I will connect and record that.

MORNING DEVOTIONS/ INGATHERING TIME

My ingathering time reminds me of our neighborhood cats. Cats by nature have a daily route they take. This is really obvious with outdoor cats. Their daily walks are a part of their search for food, scouting out and marking their territory. They walk through our yard almost like an alarm clock. And they take their naps at the same time. My list of prompts is like my neighborhood hunt for food. I don’t necessarily do all of them or in the exact order, I usually wait on the Lord for each step to see what comes to mind as to where I go during my devotional time.

Usually after I am quiet to listen, I am open to being drawn with either my mind or eyes to an outside source to either continue His message or confirm it through Words, graphics, anointed hands, etc. Sometimes I will be drawn to one of the memorial journals by my chair and my eye will glance at it. So I will choose that one and open with AH. Other times, I will suddenly wonder what will pop up at “random” at the W2P website.

I have noticed this year an increase of interaction with Him in my devotional time, where it is not always a segmented time slot of “be quiet and listen” then “hunt for treasure.” It is more like a welcome and prayer and then expecting Him to lead me with how I start.

Sometimes I might start with the daily verse, and study it, then He might say something in His still small voice, then I might go to one of my printed rhema books and open with anointed hands. Then He might say a sentence or 2 about what I opened to. Then maybe I got to the website and scroll down the page and stop where my eye glances. Then I might ask Him a question about that, and He answer. When I am done with my devotional time I can see the theme that He has been saying through misc means. It is an adventure of hide and seek. I am really enjoying this expansion in hearing Him, because I can see it is moving more into daily friendship where He interjects and says things inside my devotional and study time.

MY NEED FOR CONNECTION

Each day I seek Him with hunger until I am satisfied and full.  I need to feel like I have genuinely connected with two-way communion with Him.  Even if I have put my time in and received, if I don’t feel satisfied I go back for another round.

One can go through all the right motions of thanksgiving, worship, tongues, taking authority, decreeing, Bible time then finally intimate prayer with a quiet heart to listen.  But if in all the outflow and gathering it doesn’t touch my level of need, then I go back and seek Him again.  Sometimes that is the same morning, others it is in the mid afternoon.

If I go the whole day and miss Him by bedtime. when I am getting ready to turn off the lights, I will go into the living room where just one dim light is on, all is quiet and I sit with pen and paper in stillness and listen. Sometimes those evening devotional times are the highlight of my day.

It takes about an hour before my bedtime medication kicks in, so sometimes I like to sit with Him with anointed hands and Anna’s Bible waiting to get sleepy.  I feel like PM devotional times set my heart and night hours into the right place.  It seems like a wonderful closure to my day.
