DOING OR BEING?
Today I thought about feeling stagnate since 2020 and the need to grow, change, set goals, and move. I thought about this scripture where we will be judged for what we have done in our bodies. I pondered what I have done and what I haven’t done.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may be recompensed for the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether it be good or bad.
I heard the Lord say: Assurance. What really matters. Who you are. To walk it out.
This is precious. The Lord answered my thoughts – to Him, the importance is less about what you DO and more about who you are. (In other words, WHY we do what we do.) When we know who we are, we simply stay on track with the roles we are given, and walk them out in life naturally as we follow His lead and inspiration.
Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered to them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

THE ROLES I WALK IN
- Mary – at the Lord’s feet
- Wife – serving Wayne
- Mom – serving many children
- Daughter – serving Anna
- Grammy – serving my grandchildren in prayer and encouragement
- Friend – serving loved ones
- Sister – serving my sisters and brothers in the Lord
- Sandy – enjoying times of creating, working with my hands
Each of those have different roles, meanings and purpose.
WORD TO PONDER: WHO YOU ARE, WALK IT OUT 3/10/21
Precious child, yes you go through busy seasons and rest-filled ones. Within every season is the core of who you are in walking it out in faith, hope and love. I have given you skills, talents and gifts to equip you for all that you need to do. I give you courage to grow and occupy where I am leading you. I give you reminders of who you are in many different roles. Yes you wear many hats to multitask at many different levels.
When you find yourself wandering aimlessly and feeling without purpose, always remember My purposes begin within you. What matters to Me, is that in each role you walk in, you remain steadfast in your inner integrity so that you remain faithful to Me in the process of walking them out. Your inner integrity is who you are in Me. It contains your motives for doing all you do. It contains your faith in doing what is right with loving compassion in your heart.
I told you to occupy until I come. As you occupy each day, know that I am within you inspiring you and living My life through you. You are never alone dear one, we partner together in all that you are and do. Who you are is within Me.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 9:11-12 NLT But before they were born, before they had done anything good or bad, she received a message from God. (This message shows that God chooses people according to his own purposes; 12 he calls people, but not according to their good or bad works.) She was told, “Your older son will serve your younger son.”
