STRETCHING PAST YOUR CRISIS

1/17/25 STRETCHING PAST YOUR CRISIS

Today as I read Psalm 143 I saw a January buzz word, STRETCH. The entire Psalm describes a time of crisis when the enemy has crumbled David to the ground. He was expressing his anguish and need for the Lord to hear Him and deliver him from such a low place. I could not help but see the words showing the struggle of being “down” and needing to “reach up or be lifted up.” Between the devastation of September’s hurricane Helene and the fire storm in California, there are many who have been displaced and suffered great loss. Nations too have suffered much loss this decade as spiritual battles have raged.

QUICKENED IN PSALM 143: DOWN AND UP

  • Smitten DOWN
  • Stretch (UP hands to You)
  • Lest I go DOWN
  • Lift UP my soul

Psalm 143

1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in your faithfulness answer me, and in your righteousness. 2 And enter not into judgment with your servant: for in your sight shall no man living be justified. 3 For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has smitten ( HEB: crumbled) my life down to the ground; he has made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. 4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. 5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all your works; I ponder on the work of your hands. 6 I stretch forth my hands unto you: my soul thirsts after you, as a thirsty land. Selah.

7 Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit fails: hide not your face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. 8 Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning; for in you do I trust: cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto you. 9 Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies: I flee unto you to hide me. 10 Teach me to do your will; for you are my God: your Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. 11 Revive me, O LORD, for your name’s sake: for your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. 12 And in your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am your servant.

BUZZ WORDS IN JANUARY RHEMA REGARDING “STRETCHING UP”:

HEARD AND SAW:

1/01/25: JUMP UP FOR WATER

I saw baby kitty jump UP into our backyard fountain and drink the water.

1/06/25 THINGS WILL IMPROVE IF YOU SURRENDER TO THE LORD

Time to surrender. Next stage. Stretch. A great improvement coming up.

To me stretching means reaching high to obtain something just out of reach. It means pressing onto the higher calling. I believe the Lord is asking us that inspite of our circumstances, to surrender all to Him and not give up seeking Him, but continue to press through to what He has promised. We will be rewarded for diligently seeking Him and we will receive what we ask, seek and knock for. He is our gracious and our good Papa Who wants us to want HIM.

1/16/25 STRETCHING YOUR FAITH TO RECEIVE HIS WORDS

I saw Baby Kitty stretching UP on her hind legs and then saw a bunch of toys that were dangling above her head. An encouragement. Don’t stop seeking Me. Handfuls of purpose dropped for you. Safety and assurance. In My care. Holding and lifting you up. It’s a safe place beloved.

1/16/25 LOOK UPWARDS TO HEAR THE LORD

I saw a small yacht in the midst of the huge ocean and it had a tall antenna tower that was sticking up in the air to receive signals from the sky. I could not help but notice how solitary the boat appeared in such vast water. In spite of the danger of having a lightening rod in the middle an ocean, this rich person was in strong need of hearing the Word of the Lord and was desperate enough to risk the chance. In this vision I noticed that the waves had died down and it was not stormy, as the Lord had calmed them. In scripture the ocean represents mankind and the nations in the world. The world has gone through some very rough waters.

Psalm 107:23-30 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business on great waters; 24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep. 25 For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, who lifts up the waves thereof. 26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is MELTED because of trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit’s end. 28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses. 29 He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. 30 Then are they glad because they are quiet; so he brings them unto their desired haven.

1/06/25 THE BIG MELTING POT OF THE WORLD

Oceans. In the big pot. Melted. Mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.

Joshua 7:5 And the men of Ai struck of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and struck them on the desent: therefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

Psalm 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my body.

Psalm 46:6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

WORD TO PONDER: STRETCHING PAST YOUR CRISIS 1/17/25

Precious one, in times of personal crisis and loss, it is not time to remain in the pit of despair. It is time to reach your heart UP to the Lord. It is time to seek My face to hear My Word for your next step. It is not time to cast blame. Rather it is time to surrender your losses to Me regardless of who or what caused your loss. It is time to yield all and expect Me to answer your desperation for help to improve your circumstances.

Keep your eyes on Me and not on your loss. Choose to remain in a position of reaching past your personal pain and stretching into a new life. I will give you a new routine, new life and new expectations where I will reach you at your point of need. I will not leave you abandoned and orphaned. Watch Me answer to your prayers, for I AM your Good Father and I will give you good gifts and handfuls of purpose each and every day.

Psalm 143:6-8 I stretch forth my hands unto you: my soul thirsts after you, as a thirsty land.
