THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERCEPTION AND WORD OF KNOWLEDGE

7/12/26 THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERCEPTION AND WORD OF KNOWLEDGE

Both perception and a Word of Knowledge result in knowing something. Perception is an inner knowledge from what you see. A Word of Knowledge is knowledge by what you hear. The knowledge is not gained by logic or brain work of putting facts together. Rather the knowledge is sudden awareness that comes to you through the Spirit.

When I asked the Lord about how to describe this, I heard Him say, “Like a lightning bolt.” It happens in a suddenly moment that in one instant you go from ignorance to understanding. Suddenly the Holy Spirit sheds light on the issue at hand. Now you have understanding of what is going on deeper than what your natural eyes and ears can tell you. Gifts of perception and words of knowledge are a heart matter that are not seen through the natural eyes and ears.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

10/11/16 FIRST YOU NEED TO PERCEIVE, THEN EYES OPENED

HEARD:  First you learn everything you need to learn about perception. Then your eyes are opened. A careful examination. I suddenly remembered when Paul looked at the crippled man intently and perceived he had the faith to be healed.

Ac 14:9 The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

Isa 11:4-5 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5 And righteousness shall be the belt of his loins, and faithfulness the belt of his waist.

10/11/16 FUN EXPERIENCES IN PERCEPTION

Today I was standing in line at customer service at Wallmart. A fellow came up next to me with a Wallmart employee and she helped him put a quart jar of coins into the coin machine. I had less than a second glimpse of what I thought was one coin left at the bottom of the jar. In my thoughts I said, You still have a coin in there. As soon as I thought that, he looked down at the jar and saw the coin and put it into the slot. I perceived that there was some kind of connection where my thinking had helped him. Whatever took place I knew was a God thing.

The Lord asked me if I actually saw the coin or I perceived that it was there. The glimpse of whatever was at the bottom of the jar was so short and too far away for me to identify it for sure because there was a label on the jar and when I had the glimpse he was moving the jar so it was blurred. I honestly was not positive I had seen the coin, but I PERCEIVED it was a coin. This wasn’t a guess, it was a knowledge that it was a coin, but my eyes did not confirm that.

As we were standing there, the noisy machine rolled and rolled the coins for a long time and I said out loud to him, “Wow it sounds like you have a LOT of money!” He laughed and then I stepped away and received help at the counter. When I returned he called to me. He was still standing there and the machine was now quiet. He looked perplexed and said he didn’t get his money. He was looking at all the instructions on the machine trying to figure out what was wrong. The moment I stepped one foot into his space next to the machine he had an eye glance at a slot at the bottom of the machine, where there was his receipt waiting for him. I said, “Oh you have to take the receipt to the cashier!” He smiled and was on his way. Immediately I perceived my stepping into his personal space was another perception: My proximity helped the man understand and that was the Lord in me.

Many times – so many times I cant count – I have had troubles with computer or resolving some problem and Wayne will get up out of his chair and walk over to me. The very moment he steps into my space my eyes opened and I see the resolution! This has been happening for years and we have a joke now where I asked him if he can please come over here so I can fix my problem! We know it is his anointing that makes the difference when he steps into my space!

So when I took one step into that man’s space, I KNEW without a doubt it was my anointing that opened his eyes to see the receipt. One of my anointings is the famous quickened eye glance! The man glanced down and saw the receipt. This whole experience was unseen in the natural realm, but in the realm of the Spirit, that is what took place!
