8/06/26 TEACHING: WHAT TO DO 2ND HEAVEN VISIONS
Last night I saw a simple 2nd heaven vision. The second heaven is the enemy’s domain. Some see visions and automatically think they are God’s will because of being supernatural. They stop short of discerning whether the vision is good or evil. And they stop short of knowing God’s heart about why they saw the vision. I thought I would use this as a teaching example of what to do with 2nd heaven visions.
Hebrews 5:14 But solid food belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
IDENTIFY THE SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
I saw a cat sleeping in its bed tower. However it was hanging upside down and dangling over the edge, ready to fall. I am sure people have seen cats sleep in all kinds of crazy positions! This vision was easy to discern. Why?
- The vision was absent of color. (James 1:17)
- Being upside down is a symbol of being sifted in one’s faith. (Luke 22:31)
- We are called to be settled and established in our faith, which is our resting place in the Lord. (1 Peter 5:10)
One can have the most spectacular vison with all the senses alive, but if it is void of color, it is inspired by the demonic. Any vision (and/or dream) absent of color and/or different levels of grey scale is dark light. Our heavenly Father is the author of every good gift, where He and His gifts are full of light. Absence of light is absence of color. Light is essential for a vision of color.
Luke 11:34-36 The lamp of the body is the eye: therefore when your eye is sound, your whole body also is full of light; but when your eye is evil, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in you be not darkness. 36 If your whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp does give you light.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE SOURCE
As Christians who believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, every day we choose whom we serve, whom we partner in our walk of faith. We always say YES to God, and NO to the enemy.
James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
If we discern that a vision (or a dream, or even what is heard) is not God’s good message, then we:
- Pray; submitting to God
- Resist; use spiritual authority against it
- Decree; the opposite through God’s Word
PRAYER: The first and best choice is to always submit to the Lord in prayer. Take what is seen/heard to Him.
Lord You saw this demonic vision and know its source. You being Lord of my life and with complete Sovereignty, there is a reason that You lifted my hedge and allowed me to see that vision. I choose to partner with You in this, not agree with the enemy’s purpose.
Father if I have sinned and this was allowed as a warning that I am in danger of losing my resting faith in You and falling, please have mercy on me, forgive my sins and bring my faith back into full alignment with You and Your will for me. Thank You for Your loving warnings in allowing me to see the enemy’s intention, that I may be aware and obedient to You, Your Word and my conscience.
SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY: By using our spiritual authority we bind the vision in Jesus Name. We resist it, or say NO in Jesus name. We refuse to be intimidated, controlled or manipulated by the bad threat of being sifted and thus losing our resting place in God.
Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
As an overcomer in my faith, in Jesus Name I resist what the enemy desires. I cast down the demonic intimidation, manipulation and control in its message.
DECREE: We decree against it. To decree is merely to confess outloud that the dark gift is NOT good. We command its intents or purposes will not prosper but will fall null and void in Jesus’ Name.
The best way to decree is to quote God’s Word, His scripture outloud as the final rule against any demonic threat. Remember when Jesus was tempted by the devil 3 times, each time Jesus resisted by quoting scripture. What Jesus quoted to the devil, Jesus not only believed but He submitted to and walked out in His life. The last and final decree Jesus told satan to BE GONE.
We decree we will not lose our resting place in the Lord. In the opposite spirit, we decree the Lord’s promise to settle and establish our faith. His will is NOT that we would be sifted. He told us to pray, Give us not over to temptation but deliver us from evil.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, You shall not test the Lord your God.
Matthew 4:10 Then said Jesus unto him, Begone, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.

PRAYER: Lord I pray that those who have been sifted by receiving and believing 2nd heaven visions or dreams will be set free with Your truth. Let Your Word, Your heart and Your ways be known to them, so that they may simply come into agreement with You in what they see and hear. Bring them up and out of that sifted place, let their faith become strong again in Who You are and how much You love them, and desire them to be set free from the dark places they have fallen.
Psalm 27:13 I would have fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
WORD TO PONDER: RETURN TO YOUR RESTING PLACE 5/19/05
Are you desperate to hear Me, My love? It is only as your heart, body, soul and spirit are at rest that you will be able to find that deep place of peace to connect with Me. It is there when all striving is set aside and all is still that you know without a doubt that I have spoken.
When confusion comes, return to your last Word which was the most prominent and anchored with confirmation. Then you will be able to stand and say, “God said.” You will be able to hang on without doubt and without wavering. My Words are your resting place. I AM your resting place. Return to Me, dear one. If you cannot find Me where you are, then remember where you last found Me. Return and we will move forward together into a new place and seasoned with great grace.
“The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling. I will walk before the LORD In the land of the living.” (Ps 116:6-9 NKJV)
