Prophesying

Activation: Minister to Potential

ACTIVATION:  LEARNING TO MINISTER TO A PERSON’S POTENTIAL

12/10/13

HEARD:  My gift to you is faith.

VISION:  I saw a vision of all the rhema I heard and saw tonight.  And then I realized I had not yet heard or seen all of it yet and I was only seeing it in the Spirit.

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead, and calls those things which are not as though they were.

Much of learning to minister to someone through prophesying, praying, or simply encouraging is speaking into a person’s potential in God.

  • Sometimes we hear a Bible character name when prophesying.
  • Sometimes we hear things that we know are not where a person is walking at that time, and so we prophesy to their potential.
  • We prophesy an invitation
  • We decree that a certain potential is accessible to them
  •  Or we might say God is calling them to aspire to a certain quality.

ASSIGNMENT:

1)  Share the name of a person in the Bible you feel the person would like to aspire to.

2)  Think about that Bible character and their gifts, life experience, their qualities that stand out to you as important.

3)  Speak positively about those qualities over the person you are ministering to.  And you can either do this through prayer, prophesying, or a word of encouragement.

4)  End what you have to say with a scripture.

EXAMPLE:

Dear (name) I was thinking about the miracle that ravens are meat eaters and yet the Lord shut the raven’s natural instinct down in order for it to catch and then carry the prey to Elijah!  That was such a special gift to him!  I also had the impression that Elijah said there wasn’t anyone left but him, and people condemn his lack of faith.  But what I saw was the opposite… how his relationship with the Lord was SO profoundly intimate, that he felt surely no one has experienced such intimacy!  I smiled at that, because that is the true love of God to make each person feel that special and loved.

You are one of a kind, uniquely fed by  God and He had you in mind when He created you!

Psalms 139:17   How precious also are your thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Psalms 139:16   Your eyes did see my substance, being yet unformed; and in your book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.
