8/19/21 BE OF A SOUND MIND

HEARD: Have I not told you? Be of sound mind. The day they broke through, the waters flowed.

I immediately knew what this was about. A few days ago I had a few hours of very negative thought life and my emotions spiraled downward. I was quite miserable! I prayed a lot and it broke and I felt better the next day. I sure don’t want to go there again! As I did the study below, I realized a sound mind and emotions is something produced by self control! Wow what a revelation.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

As I pondered this, I realized He was saying that we cannot let our thoughts run wild, and end up going into a downward spiral. We must have self-discipline over our negative thought life. I also pondered the scripture below and realized this too is a part of discipline. A sound mind is submitted to the Lord’s opinions, to His Word. It is self controlled, disciplined opinions as to what He thinks.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) 5 Casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having a readiness to punish all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

CONFIRMATION 8/22/21

This morning I was drawn to Anna’s bible and her rocker in my bedroom. Via anointed hands, I felt the Lord wanted to share something to me personally in the way she used to spend time with Him. Anna spent decades of anointed hands times with the Lord. It was a place of intimacy for she and the Lord where He spoke to her as to what she was thinking, then confirming with anointed hand.

I picked up her bible and turned to these 3 places:

Matthew 21:20-21 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! 21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done.

WORD TO PONDER SELF CONTROL OVER THOUGHT LIFE 8/19/21

Dear ones, a sound mind begins with a choice. A sound mind is a result of choosing self-restraint in what you think about. Nurturing negative thoughts is like watering seeds. Those seeds grow into sad emotions that spiral downward into black holes of oppression. You really don’t want to fall into that hole do you? Learn to take authority over negative thoughts. Many of those stray thoughts begin with the influence of demons, drawing you to revisit old wounds, painful memories, self pity and many other damaging reminiscences. Speak to those mountains of your past telling them to be removed and cast into the sea! Take those negative thoughts captive, just like prisoners. Treat those thoughts like demons and let your fighting faith rise up and take back the control over your mind, will and emotions!

Precious heart, I desire the good fruit of My Spirit to be nurtured within your life: love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith and self control. Always remember, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. It is My great desire for you that your giftedness not wane or fall behind in your fellowship with Me. I want you to flow with My life giving waters. I want you to be fully enriched in My gifts and for you to have a fruitful sound mind in all things.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
