Proverbs 25:28 He that has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

11/04/17 SELF DISCIPLINE IN ALL THINGS
I saw the side view of the pretty blue house in my Bible and then I saw a low brick wall in front of it. (The wall represents boundaries in saying NO.)
Do you want to hear more? I will tell you the most important first. Temperance. What really matters? Being obedient.
Ga 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, self-control: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
9/01/13: OBEDIENCE IN RULING OVER OUR OWN SPIRIT
Know where you were going and keep your plans going. It’s set in the right direction. I tell you what. Clear words. I will treat you clearly as you obey me clearly.
9/02/13: Settle it in your own spirit first. Rule.
The way to build up our personal walls from being plundered is to make efforts to mature in self discipline. This is temperance and moderation in all things, letting nothing take hook in our soul. If we cannot lay it down without hesitation, there is a hook.
Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
PRAYER: Lord I pray that You will continue to change our appetites in what gives us comfort & pleasure and help us to yield to the prompting of Your Spirit in all things. May we be led by Your Spirit to choose what is helpful and building towards the abundant life You have promised us in our body, mind and souls.

What are you digesting, what are you reading, what are you watching? Communion with Me does not mix with the fellowship of devils, nor with fellowship with the world and its carnal pleasures. Your conscience is cognizant of all that.
I understand that you have fought to find your freedom between grace and law. And you know that all things outside of biblical sin are lawful, but not all things are loving or edifying. Remember, there is no law against Temperance. When you have matured into adulthood, the fruit of Temperance will finally have matured in your life. It is in that place that you will find a great release of authority and power. To a people without mixture, I will give My power without measure.
