NOT FITTING THE MOLD

Not Fitting the Mold

EstablishingFeatured11

8/13/20: Today I was thinking about how simple my rhema has become.  I sometimes struggle with not fitting into anyone’s mold.  I am not a traditional prophet and yet I am totally prophetic.  As I pondered this, I thought about the truth that I role model how God speaks and in a personal way.  I am totally in love with His stories!  I was thinking about my new How God Speaks website, the fact that I love whimsical graphics, and how it is not the traditional “adult” way of teaching.  I realized that my passion is teaching.

So without realizing the connection, a few minutes later I was thinking about how my baby son at 6 months weaned himself from the breast.  I had made the mistake of propping him up in an outdoor lounge chair, putting both his hands on a bottle and seeing if he could hold it himself and drink.  I had given him a bottle before but laying in my arms.  Oh my!  You should have seen the look on his face.  He was totally THRILLED.  He grinned SO big.  From that moment on, whenever I tried to breast feed him, he would  resist and try to sit up.  He simply wanted to feed himself!

I smiled as I remembered the huge grin on his face and how happy he was to do this on his own!  All these years I have treasured that memory but never made the connection!  This is what I have been doing, feeding mother’s milk to spiritual babies and then teaching them how to find their own manna from the Lord.  Even the word “propping” is quickened!  God tells us He establishes us.  That word in the Greek means to set us up strong in a certain direction.

I am remembering the story about setting concrete.  Oh WOW.  I just found the story, I had forgotten this part:  I heard the Lord say, I am maturing you quickly. Setting you like concrete.  Then I remembered that someone at home group saw my feet planted in concrete and said my feet would become set and stable and that there would be no foot mold quite like mine.

2 Corinthians 1:21 Now he who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, is God;

Colossians 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

2 Thessalonians 2:17 Encourage your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.

Romans 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end you may be established;

ESTABLISH (in Greek)

στηρίζω stērízō, stay-rid’-zo

from a presumed derivative of G2476 (like G4731); to set fast, i.e. (literally) to turn resolutely in a certain direction, or (figuratively) to confirm:—fix, (e-)stablish, stedfastly set, strengthen.

[That Greek word comes from these 2 words:]

Strong’s Greek Dictionary
4731. στερεός stereos (stereós)
Search for G4731 in KJVSL; in KJV.

στερεός stereós, ster-eh-os’

from G2476; stiff, i.e. solid, stable (literally or figuratively):—stedfast, strong, sure.

Strong’s Greek Dictionary
2476. ἵστημι histemi (hístēmi)
Search for G2476 in KJVSL; in KJV.

ἵστημι hístēmi, his’-tay-mee

a prolonged form of a primary στάω stáō stah’-o (of the same meaning, and used for it in certain tenses); to stand (transitively or intransitively), used in various applications (literally or figuratively):—abide, appoint, bring, continue, covenant, establish, hold up, lay, present, set (up), stanch, stand (by, forth, still, up).

Oh Lord, You love us so much to address even our little struggles with not fitting the mold!  I love how You speak to us through bringing things into remembrance! So often we remember something and don’t realize it is YOU!  Thank You Lord.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

WORD TO PONDER: TELL YOUR STORY FROM YOUR OWN MOLD

Precious children, when I created you different it was because you are supposed to be different.  Everything about you is uniquely you and I did that on purpose!  I have heard your musings for years that you did not fit into someone else’s mold.  You weren’t supposed to.  I take total delight in creating each of My children with a portion of My heart, My Word, My purpose to plant into the earth.

It is My good pleasure to establish you in every good word and good work.  Each of you have a story and I want you to tell it in your own way.

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
