1/06/22 SETTLE THE WATCH KITTY!
Smiles! I saw this on Facebook and laughed because that was exactly what I had just done! A stray cat adopted us this winter and so I bought her food and a bed that reflects her body heat to help keep her warm this winter.
We had a series of storms and after heavy rains and finally 8” of snow, I moved kitty’s bed and food to the front porch where she has better protection from the wind and elements. She was sleeping on the step prior to that but she has refused her bed except the first couple days when I bought it. I didn’t know if it was too cold due to dampness or if another kitty put its smell on it.
But today we had breakthrough where she was sleeping in her bed and returned there a couple times. I was also able to call her from inside the house to let her know I was going to open the door and feed her. I opened the door and she only ran to the ivy this time and not around to the back of the house. Then I kept calling her with a food, slowly pouring the food into the dish. She came while I was pouring. So far when I call her, she meows in response. It is really precious. I was SO blessed. I felt this was a real breakthrough of her being settled and able to find a safe place.
UPDATE: A couple days later I was finally able to pet her (while she is eating!) and she purrs in between chewing. We have watched her plump up and her fur has gotten thick and lovely. She snuggles in her bed and is much more secure although loud car noises still cause her to run away.
SETTLE IN
I felt Watch Kitty was a real parable of my resting place being unsettled this last season. Tonight in bed when I asked the Lord if He had anything to say to me, I heard Him reply Yes but you must be still. I remembered a Word Anna and I got years ago about our mattresses being upended. They were STANDING straight up and resting against a wall. We had a resting place but had to stand that season!
Lord I need my resting place to be settled once again please. Help me to come back into my stillness in You. Help my focus to remain on You and not be divided by a pile of other things. Restore my resting place Lord!
1/18/22 AFTER THE STORM
Lord thank You for the mini vacation and restoring my soul from such stress. I needed the rest after going through such a difficult fall season. Now I just want to get back into the groove with You, and be settled into my rhema.
HEARD: Don’t quit beloved. You are doing fine. You just went through a storm. Pure and simple, that is what it was. You held on and made it through.
1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, restore, establish, strengthen, settle you.

Fix this… Transparent pain. To see you to continue to stand. It’s a good work. Courage dear one. …To settle her. Bringing you through an alignment in My Spirit. The way it should be. By My Spirit, not by your flesh.

Yes dear heart you just went through a storm. I am so proud of you for hanging onto My Word and persevering through it. I heard every cry of your heart and all your prayers. Am I not the God Who delivers and brings you through safely?
Alas you feel like your members are scattered in parts and pieces, but I promise to recollect you and reassemble you all together once again. Whatever is displaced shall be collected. Whatever has caused you stress and shaken your core will be settled and resolved. I will use the lessons from this season as a part of your foundations to ground and settle deep into your faith. Come now dear one, settle in to your resting place in Me. Let the noise of the world grow dim as I feed you from the goodness of My heart and hand. No good thing will I withhold from those who walk uprightly.
